And last night, up at ANZ Stadium, in Sydney (the former Olympic Stadium, in Homebush)...

    19-1. :)

    [result]Sydney 14.10 (94)
    Geelong 10.13 (133)[/result]

An overall rampant display by a lot of Geelong players, especially Gary Ablett Jr. -- who might be sending a message to North Melbourne's Brent Harvey that the race for the Brownlow Medal isn't quite finished yet.

Jimmy Bartel had 29 possessions, and Joel Corey added 28 more touches, while eleven different Cats kicked goals, led by three apiece to Ablett, Shannon Byrnes and Tom Lonergan.

To tune up for the finals, Geelong has the luxury of playing each of its last two home-and-away round matches at Kardinia Park in Geelong, starting with next Saturday's vital match against -- yes, krudmonk, your team -- North Melbourne.

No word on live or tape-delayed Setanta Sports USA coverage yet...

No certainty to make the eight, and play finals footy. Especially after losing their top two key forwards some weeks ago, to the point where neither will be available for the finals.

But the Crows keep getting results, regardless, and yesterday's match may have cemented a spot in the September finals parade.

I can understand why some Quakes fans will gravitate towards North Melbourne -- there are a lot of similarities between the two teams and their fan bases. At least it seems that way over here, and as viewed by the broader footy community: perceived as under-supported, over-achieving, and always fighting for results against the odds.

And as for that Carlton v North Melbourne match at Telstra Dome today...

    [result]Carlton 14.6 (90)
    North Melbourne 22.9 (141)

North's up to fourth place now, at least with a fortnight left to play in the home-and-away season.[/result]

Congrats on the teaching! How exciting! You're gonna have so much fun teaching the kids! I have so much fun at Emi's daycare! I go in there and all the kids want to be with me, and it's the shyest girl there who comes to me first! Emi has to push through a wall of kids to get to me. Poor baby! But I love it!

I can't believe Ella is 2 already! Times goes by so fast! And she's so adorable! Congrats on #2!! Oh my goodness how exciting!! It's too early to know if you're having a boy or girl, huh? Are you going to find out?

Of course, I think Emi is beautiful, and thank you for saying so. :) She's so big now! She stood up this morning! I'm not kidding!!! She didn't pull herself up. She just stood right up. She was sitting on my knee and chewing on her daddy's hand and she popped right up without pulling on his hand! OMG! I couldn't believe it. Of course, she had to hold on to his hand to stay up, but I was pretty darn excited!

Did you know that other Chickie had another boy?!

I once had heartburn so bad that I thought I was having a coronary. Got rid of it by stopping my drinking of Japanese coffee.
