    wow.

Sportscene was even more mince than I thought it would be.

There was more time spent discussing matches with the 'studio expert' than what there was highlights of games.

Interesting that Billy Dodds thought Hamilton were hetting 3 or 4 of their 3 midfielders forward a lot.

What do you think of the penalty after seeing it again Fraser?

it wasn't a penalty. soft in the extreme. although to call out the ref for not giving offside as well, as some have done in the media, is harsh to say the least.

however, i still believe the incident before it was a penalty and that wasn't given.

he gave a goal kick and not even a corner so he should have booked Hesselink for a dive in that case if that is what he believed.

    Well done accies.

BTW: They super slow-mowed the replay on the "Handball goal" and although it looked a handball intially, it went on off his thigh.

McArthur and Mcarthy are great to watch. Accies should finish top 6 if they can stay healthy and perform like that week in week out.

Out, and in case you forgot, Levein gets no help from match officials anymore ;)

they won't though, the bubble will burst sooner or later and they'll have to suffer months of utter shite before finishing 11th if they're lucky.

United had earlier been angered when denied a penalty after Roy O'Donovan was challenged by Gary Caldwell.

    hmmm...

i must admit i haven't seen the incident yet, so i will refrain from any judgement. however for the second straight week, the bbc describes a celtic game as "controversial". thoughts?

    sure.

it was a penalty but imho there was a foul on McManus directly before it from the long ball and the play should have been called back for that.

no mention of that in the media. hmmm...............

    thoughts...?

also, i do believe that decisions like the one today happen a lot of the time but when it involves either one of Celtic or Rangers then it becomes far more 'controversial'.

either way penalty or not the fact that is we shouldn't have to relay on pk's to win matches are performance wasn't over 90 minutes and if the Arab's were decent at all they would have taken 3 points instead of a share.

for some reason this post sounds like it's from a dundee united perspective. just replace arabs with bhoys or tims.

Lol I just get tired of watching my side play down to the level of the dregs unless there is something for them to play for. ;)

    Week 3 results

    Aberdeen 1
    (Young 45)

    Rangers 1
    (Weir 24)

Old man Weir gave Rangers the lead with a fine header only for Derek Young to equalise with the last kick of the half. The match ended in controversy as Beasley's last minute winner was ruled out for Boyd being offside.

    Celtic 3
    (McManus 32, Samaras 44, 68)

    Falkirk 0

Shaun Maloney couldn't have had a better return to Parkhead as he had a hand in all three goals. Samaras sees the Celtic strikers get off the mark for the season with a brace.

    Hearts 2
    (Mole 45, Stewart 75pen)

    St Mirren 1
    (Mehmet 70)

Jamie Mole scored his first league goal in nearly two years and Michael Stewart, fresh from Scotland duty, hit a second half pen to cancel out Mehmet's equaliser. St Mirren weren't helped with the fact that Gilerao picked up two bookings within the space of three mins in the first half to leave them playing with 10 men for most of the match.

    Inverness CT 1
    (Cowie 21)

    Hibernian 1
    (Nish 46)

Don Cowie scored his first goal of the season but Colin Nish is the hot striker in the SPL just now and squared things up just after the restart.

    Kilmarnock 1
    (Pascali 45)

    Hamilton 0

Quite a few goals scored in first half injury time this weekend such as the only goal of the game at Rugby park. Killie got it to knock Hamilton off the top of the league. Italian midfielder Manuel Pascali scored the all important goal. David Graham of Hamilton saw red near the end of the match.

    Motherwell 1
    (Sutton 34)

    Dundee Utd 1
    (Wilkie 40)

New signing John Sutton had an instant impact at Fir Park but Utd equalised quickly through big Lee Wilkie's first goal of the season. The result leaves both teams still looking for their first win of the season.
