Well it looks as if Mizuno is doing the new Shinken in turf and indoor as well as the FG/SG option...I for one am very interested in this because of the lack of quality indoors/turfs on the market these days and the fact that I have always had a desire to try out the Shinkens and now if I do and I love them I would be able to get them in flats/turf as well.

Here are the links...if anyone that has more of an in with the market in Japan or Italy (where they appear to be sold right now) and knows more please do tell.

I decided to just go with Laser 2's in white and navy and Strikes in the same color because I know the 90 series is pretty much built for my foot and it cost as much with my store discount to get both shoes as it would for one pair of Mizuno's to be bought and shipped to the USA, plus I have no idea if I would even be able to find these indoor or turf's in my size anywhere.

That being said I still think these are class and my friend that was in Japan for a job would have been called on to get these Mizuno's for me but she is a moron and got fired and sent home a week after arriving there. So as of now, these are on hold for me, and my Nike whoredom still exists.

    Hey guys,

Haven't been on here in probally 6 months or so but noticed interest in Mizuno boots has rapidly increased. Seems like they're still hard to come by unless your willing to purchase for nearly double from the UK sites.

I've had some luck ordering from a vendor based out of China for a couple years now. He usually has a pretty comprehensive stock of boots but what he doesn't have he can usually get from another Chinese vendor.

Most of the boots he sells are what Mizuno make in China. Don't expect to see the few high end boots Mizuno makes out of Japan. Apparently because of the high retail price Mizuno doesn't distribute boots like the Morelia UL or Morelia Wave in China. He can get just about anything else though.

I've ordered Neogrado Waves, Wave Ghost Strikers, and Morelia MD's all of which have been awesome boots. Because the currency exchange rates aren't as bad with China most of the kangaroo leather boots he sells go for around $90. Shipping generally cost $20-$30 to your door. He's really good about shipping as well. Once I've confirmed an order I've never waited more than 5 days to get my shoes.

If your interested his contact information and boot portfolio is listed below. You can also search for Mizuno soccer products at www.taobao.com to get an idea of what's available in China. It's kind of like ebay. Hope this helps good luck with your search.

ProDirect has the previous generation Ghost Wave Strikers and the Morelias on sale right now. I picked up another pair of the Ghost Wave Strikers (I already have the pearl/red and I just ordered the pearl/gold).

He accepts Paypal and confirms your order with an e-mail containing a tracking number. I've ordered several pairs of boots from him over the years with no complications and have three more on the way this week.

The link below is to another vendor on Taobao.com that has an extensive line of Mizuno products as well. Usaully when Vincent doesn't have something I want in stock he can just get it from the vendor below. Looks like he currently has 2008 Wave Ghost Strikers and Wave Blade/Shinken in stock. Enjoy!

ok, found the link using another route

type "taobao 34413591" at google search

select the link/address with some chinese characters, it should link to the website

the seller is mr. Deng, having an email add of lovetanyan@qq.com

on a 2nd subject, i just got the wave ghost striker black/sulphur limited edition MD from PDS

fantastic boot, fitting was just perfect....Superb!

not much of a different compared to the 25.5cm morelia (made in china), just a 1 to 2 mm shorter...after a few wearing it should stretched a little to mould perfectly

from my experiences, black color leather boot is softer than those white/red/blue, etc

the forefoot was wide thus making it extremely comfortable

and of course, it's so so light

also the wide outsole making it extremely stable on any ground conditions

most importantly, the K-leather was of top top quality....super soft and padding was just perfect too

I think he does business over the weekends as well. The last e-mail I got from him in regards to my current order was today. Be patient though as sometimes he takes a couple of days to get back to you.

What boot are you looking for? I would suggest getting the new 2008 Wave Ghost Striker or the Neogrado Wave III. I have previous versions of each of these boots and either one you won't be dissapointed.

If your looking for a super light slipper like feel I'd go with the Wave Ghost Striker. It's a comfortable boot but because of the weight savings involved in the construction of the boot the support is a little lacking. I still wear my pearl/gold one's occasionally but definately prefer my Morelia MD's for a 90 minute game.

The Neogrado Wave III has a nice kangaroo leather upper is still pretty light at only 232 grams and offers better heal support due to the external heal counter. The previous version of this shoe I've worn for almost 2 years.

If your going for more of a classic styled boot hands down the Morelia MD is the best for your money. I had a pair of these in high school when Mizuno still distributed soccer boots to the US and the only thing I regret is waiting nearly 15 years to own another pair of these. Comfortable no break in time kangaroo leather upper with classic molded sole.

Most Mizunos usually fit the same. I've had US 8 for all the boots I've ordered. Morelias are a bit wider but length wise are maybe 1 to 2mm shorter than the Wave Ghost Strikers or Neogrados. The only issue I've had has been with a pair of Wave Pro MD's I ordered from Japan. This boot was a cheaper kangaroo replica of the original Wave Rivaldo's. I ordered an 8 but because the toe box was so rounded on the boot they fit like they were at least half a size bigger. Hope this helps, good luck with your order.

Good info, fredondo. Can you confirm the Neogrado Wave is in fact made of kangaroo leather? I've never seen them anywhere but Asian sites and Mizuno puts out so many different boots I never quite understood the differences among the Mizuno range. If they are kangaroo, any idea why they are cheaper than the classic Morelia or Morelia Wave? Also, anybody knows what Morelia M8 are? I can see the stitching pattern is different from the classic Morelia, but there's got to be more. Thanks.

Neogrado Wave is K-leather forefoot n' microfiber quarter/heel

there are a few range of neogrados ie. neogrado wave III (2008), neogrado LW, neogrado wave extra, neogrado wave sl, see...

    http://esearch.rakuten.co.jp/rms/sd...28&oid=000&k=0&sf=0&sitem=mizuno+neogrado&x=0

    these are made in China

the morelia ranges (II/MD or UL, EL, M8, Wave) are made in Japan....top range...thus cost more

M8 has a "checked" stitching instead of a curvy one like II/MD.

and also the ankle/heel lining is suede material compared to the thin/smooth ones used for II/MD

the fold over tongue may have some differences in design

basically the morelia classic range don't have much substantial differences...the morelia II by far is mostly worn by J-League pros

the latest is the limited edition EL....
    http://item.rakuten.co.jp/spolan/mizuno-12kp-80562/

i think u may not find the M8 now as it is also a limited edition

in fact, the EL is fast selling out!!!!!

Thats exactly the boot I'm looking for, but I have not gotten a response yet. Maybe I worded my email to difficult?

I'm not sure but hopefully I get a response or I'll just try another email.

Yes, the Neogrado Wave III is definately kangaroo leather. See Kiongsm's description as that is accurate.

They will be a little bit cheaper than the Morelia MD as they carry a lower retail price in China. Apparently the Neogrado Wave III is a much better version than the previous Neogrado Wave II. They use the washable kangaroo leather that is used in the Wave Ghost Striker.

If you still want to stick with kangaroo leather but don't want the external heal counter then the next best shoe will be the Neogrado LW or Neogrado Extra. The LW version has the same stitch pattern in the forefoot as the Wave Ghost Striker.

There are two versions of the Morelia though. One made in China which is the Morelia MD and one made in Japan that is called the Morelia II. Not sure what the big difference in the boots are as they look almost identical. On Prodirect.com the MD is listed as 79.99 and the Morelia II is 99.99. The Morelia II probally has a finer grade kangaroo upper. In my opionion it's not worth the extra price as the finer grade leather isn't as durable over time. The Morelia MD that I have from China is comparable to any $120 plus kangaroo leather shoe that Nike or Adidas offer in the states. Think Adipure or Legend.

Soyollin, I'd just send him another e-mail. In the subject heading put MIZUNO ORDER. Sometimes I have to e-mail him several times to get a reply. He'll eventually get back to you though. Check his portfolio and the other link I listed as they keep pretty accurate day to day stock of what sizes they have. Good luck!

Thanks for the thorough answer, fredondo and kiongsm (as always extremely helpful)! Have to say that the range of Mizuno cleats is almost overwhelming. I'd definitely want to get one of the Japanese-made models as I already have the Morelia MD made in China. But I like most of the Morelia models--II, Wave and M8. I'm also considering Pantofola d'Oro Dream so I'm really racking my brains here. Can only get 1 pair as a gift and I already know no matter what I choose, I'd be happy but at the same time wonder about the pair I didn't get...

Well the reason I was interested was because of the good prices you mentioned. If you are able to find any kind of deals on Mizunos I'm sure anyone that posts on this thread would like to know too :)

What I was looking for was a Wave Ghost striker or a Wave Shinken II in size 27cm. If you do find a deal or something of that sort let me know. Thanks :)

hello there. i'm new in the forum and this is my first post. i was always interested in mizuno cleats but never owned a pair. i ordered my first pair from prodirectsoccer and thankfully I found a pair I liked in my size on sale. I got this one Mizuno Wave Shinken (http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prodinfo.asp?PID=PDS-002-008-444&SS=1&GROUP=SB4060) for 72 euros total.. a very good price indeed! they shipped on monday and I received a notification to receive the package tomorrow (thursday) from the greek post office. i will try them tomorrow and tell you what I think of the boots.. pray for me that they fit great!

I have a question for Fredondo. how much does it usually cost for you to receive the boots you order from china and what is the total cost of the boot?
