    Revs at DCU tomorrow.
Both teams coming off a loss--DCU's well deserved; not so for the Revs.
Revs should have a full roster available.
I suspect the Revs will again play a 4-4-2 and possibly start the same lineup as Saturday although I would not be surprised to see Dube in for Cristmen.

I'm betting they play the reserve team with possibly Shalrie in since he can't play on Saturday.

I think you're right. Looking at the line ups for Sunday's reserve game it looked like Nicol was resting a lot of the reserves. There were a lot of guest players. http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/news/index.cfm?ac=latestnewsdetail&pid=33168&pcid=115

Either that or he is considering altering his development player roster....

Poor Adam Cristman, the most mispelled name on Bigsoccer... :)

This would be a great way to bounce back after the weekend. This stat probably has little to no relevance, which is exactly why I'm sharing it... The Revs have bounced back to win both times this season after losing to Chicago, both times on the road as well, against KC in April and Chivas in May. Travelling to DC is always really tough, though, no matter how bad United might be playing. It'll be interesting to see how many reserves continue to earn starting roles in US Open Cup matches, for both teams really.

Is this going to be on TV and/or streaming video online? All I could find was audio at revolutionsoccer.net.

8 guest players. Only rostered player to go 90 was Tyler.

Is Manzo still with the U20s?

Manzo didn't play. He was being saved for the Open Cup game.

By the sound of the score I don't think they are planning on altering their development roster. They just needed players for a meaningless game.

I don't know, I think Shalrie(Sharlie??) is pretty commonly misspelled as well as Nicol(Nichol). ;)

Joe Germanese also went 90. Wells Thompson didn't get any minutes either. Is he injured or set to play in DC?

I would be shocked if the Revs didn't field their A team.

Why? They have a packed schedule this month, this is the one tournament he can best afford to NOT field his starting 11 in. I can absolutely see him resting people for this match as he had done for the other OC matches this season.

I'd be pretty disappointed, especially with our next league match against a softer team.

My thought is, you are this close to another cup final,,,might as well go for it. But Nicol will probably go with something like
    ................................Reis
    .....Albright.....Larentowics.....heaps....Tierney
    Wells............Shalrie........Ralston..........Smith
    .............Mansally.............Dube

Nicol did rest player in the previous 2 USOC matches, but against a USL-1 and USL-2 side, not an MLS side (and DCU, no less).

The Revs are very lucky to have the Earthquakes up after this USOC game. The weakest side in MLS, after a cross-country flight. I expect that the starting XI, including Shalrie, will be in against United, and then some reserves will play against SJ, and Shalrie has to sit anyways. They can still compete with SJ with lesser players in the lineup, and even if they don't win, leaving points against a Western team isn't nearly as bad.

The Revs also have Joe Public where they can rest players if they want to as well. JPFC isn't exactly a powerhouse, and I think that Home/Away can be handled without a complete starting side

Forwards Kheli Dube (R groin strain) and Kenny Mansally (R ankle sprain) both missed the match against Fire because of injury …

Because this game is two wins from more silverware and a must-win, and San Jose is twelve games away from more silverware and not a must-win.

Count me in the camp that doesn’t believe we’ll go all out tomorrow night. I’m not saying I like it, but for a change I can understand it. This is already your third game in a week, you have another one 4 nights later, all the way across country. Another four nights later, you play DC at home in a league game. In the meantime your lead is down to just one point (and you’ve already lost the tiebreaker). Nicol’s repeatedly said the MLS Cup’s the most important thing. I don’t think we’ll play 11 reserves, but my guess is we’ll see maybe 5/6 starters out there.

I think we better field the "A" team. We're not exactly lighting it up these days on offense and the team has to learn how to actually use Twellman. Twellman can use the minutes too.

I would start the "A" team and hopefully get a secure lead. Then I'd pull Joseph and go with the planned lineup in the next league game. It would be a good time to try out the upcoming lineup change before having to work it out on the field.

Then prepare to be shocked. I did Sean's radio show last night and he had it straight from Nicol himself that Doug Warren was starting in goal, and that several reserves were going to get a run.

I'm in the same camp, and I'm a bit worried.

The starters I see as a lock are:

    Reis
    1 of Heaps/Larentowicz
    Shalrie
    Ralston
    Twellman

The reserves most likely to start this match:

    Igwe (no problem there)
Flood (can't remember the last time he played)
    Tierney (no problem)
    Thompson (unimpressive)
    Khano (Khano)

Second forward is an interesting choice. If Dube and Mansally are likely back by Saturday, then Cristman will start. Otherwise, we may see Manzo.

No way TnT plays, or Christman either. They've been injured all season and Taylor just played his first 90 min of the year. You have two really good strikers in Mansally and Dube that didn't play 1 minute last game so they are fresh running at a defense that just played 2 days ago.
