yea, i read that article too... they have 2 banners... small but nice and to the point... I also saw that the area in that corner (RBN) started a chant where they said RED! and a bunch of ppl on the other side of the stadium responded BULLS! and it kept going back and forth... i thought it was good for the atmosphere and stuff, but it really sounds like a college chant that is always done so i'm not crazy about it but it can/should stay :)

They're in the next section over from RBN. GSS helps with the atmosphere down that corner and we (RBN) do some chants with them, especially those aimed at the DC fans. Just so you know, RBN were the ones starting the "red" and "bulls" chant with the other side. It was nice to see some of the soccer moms and kids get involved. Any little bit helps.

    That...Red...Bulls...chant is great.

    Lets Go Red Bulls, too.

Nothing "little bit" about it. It's big time!

Raging Bull Nation are our cheerleaders!

    Keep up the good work!

    Get the whole crowd chanting!

i'm interested in joining you guys as well...i dont hold season tickets, but purchase tickets before the match and they alway put me in 117, near RBN and you guys. i think you're hilarious and more numbers will definitely make you a bigger presence on the other side of the stadium...especially bc away supporters are so close.

btw was that 90 year old woman serious yesterday when she was yelling at you guys to sit down?

Garden State Supporters welcomes anyone to come and hangout, before, during, and after the game. We don't have memberships or scarves (at this point), most of us know eachother initially but we've been meeting more and more great people. We're usually setup down from 16A where ESC is, next to the fence, and usually fly the NJ flag over the RedBull flag. Anyone can come over, eat some BBQ, drink, and have fun.

That being said.. we usually get crap from the ushers, people complaining, etc.. Yes, that woman was serious, 5:45 into the game, screaming "sit down!" ;) Just because that old cow rules her house with an iron fist she must have thought everyone will bow down, thankfully yesterday the ushers could care less and they moved her. But be prepared for that in the wonderful 117 corner section.

Yesterday was great form though, taunting the DC fans, myself and another made it up there, at which point after Angel scored the 3rd goal and they were quiet we unzipped to show the colors chanting the "new york red bull" chant.. an older woman got up to go to the yellows and we had to dip, no fuss though.

We have a MySpace, check it out:

    haha thats great.

a DC United supporter tried to wander into ESC during the second half, he was quickly escorted out. I dont know what he was thinking...but then again its DC Scum so he probably wasnt thinking at all..

im not saying this in insult but if less people joined the ESC and were in RBN GSS and Kearny Army, I think we'd have a lot more chanting. I rarley hear any chants from any other groups besides esc but if there were more people in each than they'd all chant and it'll be great.

I hope esc grows but i also hope that more people start joining these smaller groups and help the atmosphere. ( scarves would be something cool to look into, there are tons of sites that make custom soccer scarves, but you usually have to buy in bulk )

RBN does a nice job with the drums and such, they did get that cross stadium going, and as was also earlier stated, we often end up backing eachother up. I'm personally a bit jealous of the ESC wipeout though, haha.

It is a numbers game though, not that people shouldn't join whatever club they want, ESC certainly sets the bar for the rest. With the new stadium though who knows, we all may end up being near eachother depending on how they want to manage us.

you know you guys can probably do your own version of the wipeout at your end..its not like we hold the copyrights to it :D

we both sing the "We Love Ya" chant..so..why not? plus it would be cool if we could see you doing the wipeout from 101 while we are doing ours. Although I usually spend all my energy on trying to keep up.

I thought you only watched the games on TV...
In the stadium it all depends on where you sit. 109 I can hear ESC...sorta.
I suppose 105 can't hear the mat all and all they can hear is RBN GSS.

On TV is weird, cause all the cameras are across the stadium, the only that really get picked up on TV is ESC cause they have the sweet spot behind goal right where all the action usually happens, so they get picked up pretty easily.

Sunday i'll have to wak over to RBN and GSS to lend my voice....:p

Yeah, its our signiture song. Created by us and perfected over the last few years. As far as I know no one else in the world does it, so we kinds want to make it famous. :D

The song is actually a cross between "Wipeout" and Wu-Tang Clan's "nothin da fuk with".

Well 13+ years of existance helps. Obviously i am partial to ESC and what we try to do. But i agree more clubs would be welcome. For the simple fact that while ESC is a hybrid club of spanish and english (very much a barra/ultra mix with some Britsh stlke mixed in) it may not be for everyone. As long as everyone is able and comfortable to display their passion in their own way all the better.

I'm pretty sure New England tries to mooch off it, but it fizzles out in about 30 seconds to a minute . . pitiful, they should be ashamed of themselves.

They try to do the swim instead of pogo-ing left to right.

Quite shameful for our dear old boy Monty in Massachusetts, but what do you expect, he doesn't have much talent to work with. After all, 400 Midnight Riders were outsung by 20 ESC earlier this yr.

    Need I say more?

It's just such an impressive sight from the other end, like whoa ;) I wouldn't be surprised, if you can actually see from over there, a tell-tail pogo'ing going on our end though...

By all means do so :D

It is weird, the field mics, where the cameras are, you never really know where it's coming from, like in the first half when the away team is on the opposite end in front of us at 117 - you watch it on TV and I swear you can hear us with the wind up goal kick "Whooaa.... you suck asshole" Or.. it can be 101 from across the field..

No doubt, you guys set the example. We're all in it for the same result - have fun and hope our team wins. GSS rolls in the same social circles (scooter club, couple of bands, etc) outside of the game so it just made sense.

they did nothing but cry to the yellowshirts...

gss may have started off small... but we are growing... we sing, we shout, we drink, we have a good time... we dont let those yellowshirts tell us different...
