Wow, what a surprise. When is the last time a goalkeeper won this award? Ever? It's sort of sad, in a way, because all it really means is no field player was brilliant enough to win the award. But Gigi is the world's best keeper, there's no doubt in my mind.
no i don't think a keeper has ever won this award Kahn came pretty close...but not close enough last season. I don't think its sad that a keeper won it...Actually its kind of comforting to see him win it.... he is ABSOLUTELY brilliant ! and hes only 26 ! he could be the greatest keeper ever by the time he calls his quits. 32 million is what Juve spent on him... and while critics were saying that it was too much for a keeper...we now know why a tightass like Moggi agreed to sheel out the cash.
