this is a prime example of great players with bad coaching/management/inter-player communication

Nice to see our players flourishing somewhere else.

    Good for them.

Of course who really knows the inside story on all the trades.

I'm just going to be happy that Ronald didn't play in our butt whipping in the USOC so that he could play for DC. He deserves to play, and it looks like he's coming back into form.

Chivas has also earned his spot - Good for him.

These are two examples of the really classy guys we had, and why most of us were really sorry to see them go.

Now, don't we really have to root for LA over DC if it gets to that point?

It's great to see that Cerritos can score against 3rd Division competition and that Chivas can score against A-League competition.

would it really surprise anyone if cerritos flourished in dc? he certainly did in san jose, and he'll probably do as well in dc.

jeffries can't handle class players. maybe every burn player should aspire to red cards and hacking.

i hope kovalenko takes out jeffries next.

This is ridiculous. Just becuase they scored doesn't mean the flourished or will be flourishing in their new clubs. We need to stop blaming all of this on Jefferies, it's almost corny now. You didn't see the game and you don't know how they played, maybe they were gimme goals. Not to mention, they were against 2nd and 3rd division sides.

    Yeah, just stop it!

Just because jeffries's fine coaching has placed the team in a position the team has never been in in it's entire history doesn't mean he's a bad coach.

So just stop it, you here!

    Does USOC cup-tie players?

You are fooling yourself into thinking Jeffries is not to blame. The Burn have won 3 games on their home surface, and lost more than twice that. Remember that home teams have an overwhelming historical advantage in winning home games, proven countless times every weekend the world over.

This team is the laughingstock of pro soccer in the country. The worst team in the A League gets more respect, because they have a fraction of the talent of the Burn and put it to better use losing to teams in their own league.

Sounds to me like the home surface is to blame.

The same 3rd division team that beat the Burn 4-1.

Yea, the home surface is just scoring too many goals. And, of course, the visiting teams are a lot more used to our field than we are, naturally.
The same as with the Chicago Fire on their turf field. It's the home surface that is winning the games for Chicago, not the team.

Yea, against the same A-League team that ousted (by shut out) the San Jose Earthquake. The goal was the 2nd goal so it was the winning goal. Chivas also got the assist (a cross) on the 3rd goal.

Yes. Had Ceritos played in a USOC match for Dallas, he could not have appeared for DC in USOC competition until next year.

Everyone just needs to realize that there are more factors to this awful season than Jefferies. Jefferies got us 3rd place (overall) in the league last season, he's always picked good tallent and while he hasn't done that well to develop the youngins, you can't pin the blame all on him. How about the players, they are acting totally unreasonable, it is ridiculous to put up such little fight when you are only a goal down with 15 mins left in a game. I don't care if you're tired, you're season (jobs) hang in the balance. Maybe the other players that leave have been doing better (or appearing to be doing better) in their new home becuase, hmmm maybe it's not a piece of $hit high school dump, with plastic grass and a marching band playing? Just maybe. Stop and think, most of you can blame this all on Jefferies and I'll agree that he needs to leave so we can get another guiding force in the team, but there are plent more factors.

i still think the team would get a lift by watching dema pile into jeffries. inspiration can be found in very unlikely ways.
