You know, if you make Toyota Park...you'd just have to change the roof to make Salt Lake's new stadium. The Dick isn't that much different either.

And if you make a rusty, beat down stadium that'd be ours! Of course you'd have to add the passionate fans :)

I came here to more or less say this. With the engine and the players already in place, adding a dozen new stadiums, some USL teams, and some better small little features(ie, the crowd should reflect team colors, there should be more than half a dozen generic opening and post goal cinemas, etc.), I can't imagine it'd be all that hard to code. And I'd gladly pay $25 or so for an MLS edition of FIFA 08.

All in all though, I gotta say, I'm not a fan of FIFA 08 though... I thought '07 was a HUGE improvement for the series, but '08 seems to be a step backwards. I can only hope that they're reworking the whole mechanics for '09, and if '09 sucks, I'm gonna be jumping ship for PES...

Haha the possibilities yes, but this all takes a lot of time  Perhaps I could get this lot done, get it released, then make the rest and do an update

I'm using Rhino 3D to make the stadiums, and then these guys have made an importing tool that puts them into PES

Its pretty easy to learn how to use Rhino, I mean, if somebody wants to have the 3D Model and modify it to be another stadium just say and I'll tell you what you need to do for it to work in PES :)

We're still limited to the Konami created competitions unfortunately so a proper MLS season with play-offs at the end isn't possible :(

But yes you could have a 'Master League', it has a top division of 16 teams and a second of 8 teams. Theres only 25 MLS and USL teams combined though, so you'd have to add someone else like Sydney FC to fill up that last space

It's funny, when I first bought winning eleven and looked at the editing options. I thought it was crazy that some fan would go through all the trouble.

Then a week ago I spent 2 hours to the Chicago Fire crest. It looks better than even the default crest. It's amazing how you can squish and stretch those default shields into a florian cross.

Now if I could only import stadiums.

for PES / Winning Eleven, you used to be able to download option files that would vastly improve the game...I really never played it on PS2 without a downloaded option file. The majority of them are for European leagues, of course, by people who were reallly into PES editing and were quite detailed.

They had an MLS option file that i tried once, i think for WE/PES 2007 on PS2. It was pretty good. You can assign any stadium to any team, so in that regard it's alot more flexible than FIFA, but there aren't alot of stadiums in that game taht look like the MLS ones. You also cannot edit the competition format for a master league, so there are no playoffs (but you can see what teams would've qualified, and then hold your own playoffs with a created tournament).

PES2008 on PS3/XBOX360 was a bit of a step backwards for series is terms of almost everything. The editing wasn't quite as good and I never owned it so I never tried installing an option file.

I don't think you'll get much luck on getting an actual MLS or North America version of FIFA though.. every year those guys just add like 2 stadiums and 2 leagues that no one cares about and put a new "coverstar" on. I'd think if the new PES2009 allows for better editing, it'd be the best choice, based on what i've heard about it.

With PC patching of PES though, you can do so much more than just Option File editing

Hence I've got kits for MLS teams that are high resolution BMPs, and we can make stadiums in 3D modelling software and then import them into the game

My next project is Gillette Stadium:

And yes, PES2008 is a massive step backward for editing, PES6 is almost fully decoded, in the fact that you can change just about any graphical part of the game.

Btw, I also found FedEx Field has been made for PES, which I'll include in this thing

Gillette is being an absolute bitch to install to the game though, about 10% of the stadium needs re-building to make it compatible with PES...ARGH!!

Well FIFA is made by EA Canada so I would expect to see BMO in 09. I could see EA making a MLS or CONCACAF game but probably only if they stopped making Street. Soccer has FIFA, Street, Euro/World Cup. Football has NCAA/Head Coach, and Madden. I don't think EA would make more soccer games than football games.

Someone set up a petition site. Or email EA. I think it would be fun to have all of MLS, USL, hell even PDL, Mexico, and a rest of the region component.

They could have 100 or so teams, and Mexico, USL, and MLS could have their league formats, with a CCL, option.

Fantastic idea except I'm not buying an MLS game AND FIFA, and I'm not passing on FIFA. I say that b/c i assume licensing won't allow for MLS to be in both games. Furthermore, don't we need MLS to be in FIFA so the world gets used to MLS clubs?

How do you figure? All this time that EA Canada has been developing the FIFA series the Canadian national team hasn't even made it in. There are several worth while stadiums I'd put priority on rather than BMO.

FIFA is still light years behind PES in terms of playability.. Wish you could get that running on a PS2 of 3! Great work so far!!!
