So for anyone who thinks Ive been trolling for the past few weeks, I deliberately did not allude to this let alone post it in the McCain thread. I thought it would make too many heads explode. You're Welcome.

Frankly I think this issue is entertaining but a technicality.

Lawyer people, should this be investigated and if it turns out McCain gave the VC intel in exchange for good treatment, should it disqualify him?

I don't trust Ted Sampley half as far as I could throw him. He's an attention whore of the worst kind.

(Edit: Oh, I just saw your "inspiration" for this post. I get it now.)

The only difference between this thread and The Other Thread is that we're not taking ourselves seriously here.

    True story, from Hanoi:

John McCain was holding up amazingly well under all kinds of torture, and giving the VietCom nothing but the starting lineup of the Pittsburg Steelers. But one day the VietCom showed up with John Kerry.

After a few hours of Kerry going on and on about all the attrocities commited by US soldiers, McCain caved in.

He told the Vietcom official, 'Please stop this! I will tell you everything you want to know if only you get this mother********er to shut the ******** up!'

A week later McCain was released.

But on the condition that he had to take Kerry back to the USA with him.

But that's not all of it. You're so angry. I think I'm enjoying that more than you are.

Oh, yes, I'm sure he's boiling with rage. What a great "affect" you're having.

BTW, you come uncomfortably close to admitting that you're trolling.

Here's a PM exchange between brf and myslef

This is what I think. If you're going to make a threat, carry it out. If you're not going to carry it out, and by your own admission the basis for your threat was false, then shut up.

    Here's what I think:

    1) You don't understand the difference between a "threat" and, say, an "observation." Some posters have been accusing you of trolling; I was pointing out that you were giving them ammunition.

    2) Making your hissy hit public is really, really lame. Well played, genius.

EDIT: Not only are you responding to an imagined threat with indignation, you're specifically telling me to "shut up" because you imagined I was threatening to shut YOU up.

Whatever. But I tried to privately address whatever the hell it was you thought you were saying. You chose to handle it this way; oddly enough, you're even willing to air your dirty laundry in public.

By making your first post public, you lend credence the argument that I am trolling by pointing out Obama's faults. You did this in a thread you should have locked. After being confronted, you went private. It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. So far you have been wrong, wrong and wrong.

If you're going to voice a moderator opinion, "it appears that you are trolling" then back it up. I called your bluff and showed if for what it was.

No, I voiced my opinion that saying "I think I'm enjoying that more than you are." could lend credence to accusations that you're trolling.

Oh, "I" should have, huh? And since when were you the last word on what I should be doing?

To the casual observer, it appears he went "private" in an effort to keep you from embarrassing yourself. But, carry on. That is one big ass cross you are toting around.

You know, I pretty much scroll past all the AM-vs.-the-Obamatards slapfighting since I find it tiresome and don't really give a shit, but I would say that publicly posting private messages is a gross violation of netiquette and a clear act of douchebaggery.

That should have been your first clue. He sent you a private message, you slam your toys down and say "I'm telling," and he says "go ahead."

He wasn't keeping it private for his benefit. But, thanks for the humorous read on a Monday morning. We are France. You are Jerry Lewis.

    A) The line is: I am Godzilla! You are Japan!

    B) brf's passive aggressive behavior forced him to make a veiled threat, take it private then accede to my request. I knew if I pressed, he would cave.
