I will not be renewing my season tickets for next season. I will not give another ounce of money to an ownership that clearly doesn't care about it's fans. The small amount of shared revenue that they get from my online subscription to watch games on mlsnet, will be the only way they see any money from me. I will not purchase another concession for the rest of the season. I will scalp my L.A. Beckhams tickets, if possible.

If you are referring to section 108--I was part of the Revs fans standing up and turning around to the classless jerks in the Mexican section and while we did say a few choice things, we then turned it around to a massive Revolution cheer. Might I add for the FIRST TIME in the morgue like section that is our seating.

I've watched a ton of soccer in the last few years, and actually LOTS of fans get into 'cheering', 'shouting' and calling out incendiary things to each other. Why do you think traveling supporters groups are typically seated at opposite ends??

The roles of security and law enforcement are not the same. The role of security is to prevent chaos. Clearly securities decision to single out someone for a gesture did the opposite. They incited an incident, and therefor did not do their job. They created a problem in a normal sporting environment.

The same thing happened at the end of the season two years ago. The same jackass security guy running the show from down below, getting the security team to come down and stir it up. He's the fat guy, blue shirt and glasses. He refused to be rational, he refused to provide his name, I emailed and wrote to the team on behalf of others that I saw being harassed and abused for no reason by the security team

Guess how the team responded to me:

They didn't respond at all. They don't care one bit.

I'd suggest you contact your rep and voice your concerns to him/her. Simply not renewing your season tickets and not buying concessions doesn't let them know why you are upset. Believe it or not, they do care. But they aren't mind readers.

No. I shouldn't have to voice my concerns. They clearly don't care if the same problems continue to happen. I am not doing this as a protest in hopes that they change. I know they won't change. I'm doing this because I don't want the ownership to see another dollar of mine.

I turned in my Bruins season tickets over 10 years ago, and haven't given them a dime since. Plenty of people have done the same, and I'm sure there are plenty who voiced their complaints. The Jacobs have not changed, and never will.

they were too busy worrying about middle fingers in the fort to deal with the real problem.

    hacks.

that's what this whole thing is. mexican fans in 102/103 breaking the rules, cursing, standing in the aisles, insulting our players and other fans. Someone gave the finger and suddenly, the fort was the problem. There were no less than 15 TO people in the fort. in the meantime, spanish news is interviwing and glorifying some duchebag in an aztec suit who was breaking the rules.

it was the stuff going on in the other sections that was the potential flash point. Instead TO created one and left a potentially dangerous situation ungarded....

...and to top it off, they threw out the wrong guy in the fort.

hacks. Briggs should be embarrassed. his crack team blew the real security problem and instead took an innocuous situtation and escilated it into a problem. Sure swearing is against the rules, but no one gets hurt nby a middle finger. the actions of the Pachuca fans was potentially more dangerous.
they got it wrong. totally wrong.

they made it much worse and have pissed fans off.

Re: Mark Briggs is a douche bag

I have worked security for Patriots games before. And it was for fundraising. I had never worked security before, was given a shirt and told people cannot do certain things. 2 minutes later I was stationed and began my shift. Those are the green shirts at least. The blue and white may be actual employees but many are just fundraisers or people on power trips.

Before this season I was hesitant and still renewed...I am done with season tickets, and I still care about the team but why give them money? Fed up is an understatement.

They are not willing to work with us and single out the passionate fans? Nice.

It is pretty clear to me that Team Ops has a massive double standard for Revs Games, Pats Games & games involving international opponents.

Clearly, they are very afraid of us and when we entered the aisles that probably set alarm bells off in their heads.

All I know is that we have to do something big at the next home game. I am sick of this shit.

I hate going to games where I have to spend as much time worrying about getting tossed out as I do watching the game and coordinating chants.

The Front Office isn't the problem.

Mark Briggs and Security are the problem. They can kiss my white American ass. ******** you you English ********. Go back to the SAS or whatever you did before.

I bet if were a Spanish or immigrant group they wouldn't treat us the way they did. We should all pretend to not speak English at future games. I am not bringing my ID with me into games anymore either.

I was waitng for this post  I agree, lets blindly follow authority figures because they are given uniforms and guns, not to mention a lifelong sense of being more important then they really are and labels as courageous heroes unquestionably.

We can all look at the brightside. Next year when we all don't renew we will be able to go ********ing nuts for the open cup game(s) at New Britain and the Away game in Toronto where they let people create atmostphere

I’ll post this on the Riders board as well, but FWIW Cathal’s not going to respond to any emails.

Anyway, I’m being told that the reason for the security being heavy handed was “sneaking” the flags in (even though she was holding them blatantly in her hands as she walked in the gates right by security). BTW, I admit the flags were solely my fault.

Awsome, so its tit for tat? An eye for an eye? Are we supposed to be like "OK we're all even"

By their own methodology we should do something spectacular thats against the rules next game, and then they can kick more people out, creating an upwards sprial.

    That...is...retarded...
