Breasts are always important. Are you serious? If this thread can potentially go in one of two directions: either breasts or an old crazy warmonger for President, well, I'm sticking with the lungwarts buddy.
Is crack and booze able to permeate through boobs? Cause if thats the case...I do not recommend. Unless they are native American, because in that case, they need a little bit of natural selection EDIT: that was a reference to another thread, not a racist insult.
Back on Topic. I haven't been paying so much attention lately to McCain going after Hillary supporters. My question is, at any time has he praised Hillary's work on healthcare? Either way, his latest charge against Obama really doesn't help with the Hillary crowd. McCain Calls Obama Health Care Plan HillaryCare "My friends, we've seen this movie before," McCain said. "It was called 'HillaryCare' back in 1993, and we're not going to do it again. We're not going to have the government take over the health care system in America."
"I led the largest squadron in the United States Navy. And I did it out of patriotism, not for profit." This is very true. He served in the Navy out of patriotism . . . . . . . . . he divorced and re-married for profit.
This joke has past its sell by date. The election has come down to this: One candidate has campaigned in 57 states, the other promises to campaign in all 13 colonies.
Chris M: If you supported Kerry in the 2004 election, based on your assertion above, that sounds very hypocritical. Okay... that there is funny...
Like "people of faith" being pro-life, pro-firearms, and pro-war? _That_ kind of hypocritical? I hope not, because that would be appalling!!
I revised my earlier post to Chris that you cited; but to address yours, there is nothing wrong with people of faith being "pro-life" or "pro-firearms," insofar as "pro-war," I suggest you read the just war theory at your soonest convenience.
Convenient. I guess you can choose to believe anything you want when you don't actually have to try and justify it to anyone... at all... ever.
McCain's marriage status wouldn't prevent me from supporting him, so I'm not acting hypocritically. I just think it is funny that he is lecturing people by holding himself out as a poor public servant before hopping on Cindy One to fly back to Arizona.
What's good for the goose . . . John Paul II stated before the 2003 war that this war would be a defeat for humanity which could not be morally or legally justified. In the weeks and months before the U.S. attacked Iraq, not only the Holy Father, but also one Cardinal and Archbishop after another at the Vatican spoke out against a "preemptive" or "preventive" strike. They declared that the just war theory could not justify such a war. Archbishop Jean-Louis Tauran said that such a "war of aggression" is a crime against peace. Archbishop Renato Martino, who used the same words in calling the possible military intervention a "crime against peace that cries out vengeance before God," also criticized the pressure that the most powerful nations exerted on the less powerful ones on the U.N. Security Council to support the war. The Pope spoke out almost every day against war and in support of diplomatic efforts for peace. John Paul II sent his personal representative, Cardinal Pio Laghi, a friend of the Bush family, to remonstrate with the U.S. President before the war began. Pio Laghi said such a war would be illegal and unjust. The message was clear: God is not on your side if you invade Iraq. I know you are not really a Catholic, but if you want to play along, you should be familiar with the church's teachings on such important topics. http://www.cjd.org/paper/jp2war.html
Sorry, but you've played the McCain divorce card once too often. And now that InBev has bought out Budweiser Cindy McCain is more attractive than ever.
I only "play" it when he gets all self righteous about something as he did in the example I posted. I seriously liked him at the beginning of the 2000 campaign. If he got past bush I very well may have voted for him. I voted for Reagan and Dole -- both of whom are/were divorced and re-married. It's not a big issue. I find it strange that I would have "played" that card once too often with McCain, but if you say so.
It's hilarious that you would post this right after the Just War Theory exchange with no comment on that.
Just about every McCain tv ad now is all about his POW experience. I forget, which one of you goobers claimed he wasn't running on it?
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/07/mccain_obama_is_an_extremist_i.php Dude's got no policy plan. He's just pandering to the ignorant now.
any neocon argument for involvement in Iraq falls apart in the face of the Just War theory. <starts sweeping>
McGrumpy raised $22mm in June vs. $52mm for Ogoda http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080718...ma_money_dc;_ylt=AmkV6m9jg_P84Stn9BDsq6Ea.3QA
Exactly. That is why it was so funny that ITN snarkily suggest someone else familiarize themselves with it. In the run up to the war, I went to a two hour talk at St. Xavier University in Chicago by Francis Cardinal George. He went through each element of the Just War Theory and clinically dismantled the bush arguments for going to war. I wish I had a video or a transcript because it was impressive.
