Hmm...three on the first team...is that a record for the Beat?

Congrats to Scurry!! She deserved it! But so did Nonen...ugh! I think Joy got the USWNT card played for her. She is a great defender, but I think the #1 defense should get a little credit and recognition. Kylie deserved first team honors as well.

Have they had rookie of the year yet??

Chastain and Sobrero making the 2nd team is a freakin' joke... Brandi didn't have a great season and doesn't deserve the recognition. There were other's much more deserving than the two of them. I feel that the WUSA has produced some defenders that warrant being on the USWNT more-so than these two.

    Latham won it.

I thought Maribel was a better choice...but Latham was a better choice than Wagner (who has been okay, but not stellar).

So basically, Scurry was the only Beat actually singled out? Figures. However, the Beat have the chance to obtain their own award this weekend!

WAR BEAT!! BRING HOME THE CUP!!!

Maribel started out hot and has really cooled off. Latham on the other hand, IMNSHO, has had a more consistent season.

Scurry named GK of the year! ---> Was there ever any doubt. She was awesome all year. As for Nonen vs. Fawcett....I don't mind honoring Fawcett. She is a great player and our country's #1 soccer mom. That being said, I wouldn't trade anyone on our back line for her.
