Torres looked tired, but I dunno about subbing off Xavi at this point.

Spain are totally dominant now, but can't get complacent - Russia's attackers can punish one mistake.

Russia added another midfielder at the expense of the defense, that is very risky at this point.

Ridiculous how the game seems to be parked in the Russian half, but all credit goes to the Spanish. Unless Germany gets blessed by luck again, Spain may very well win the tournament.

Great goal, brilliantly worked. Spain deserve the win, two really well crafted goals.

They looked decidedly ordinary without him in qualifying and the group. He adds a hell of a lot more than his ability to this Russian side when he plays.

Well, that might just do it. Don't think the Russians have a goal in them today.

Amazing. The technical way that goal was made is just amazing.

I personally just think the Russians got off to a slow start really they were never 4-1 worse than Spain. Perhaps just 3-0.

Me too  He was pretty wasteful in the Greece game, but that was probably just nerves.

Fabregas really energizes the side. Spain should cruise to the final now.

Torres would have missed that shot that Guiza scored. Spain should have been 4-0 up.

The timing of the run was also excellent. Both Spanish goals were like that - terrific service, smart run, great finish.

Will this be Spain's first appearance in a final in a major tournament?

    I agree --- I don't know why he is not a starter.
