Good match so far. Russia always look dangerous on the break, but Spain have looked better overall.

I don't why players aren't being booked for diving in this tournament. Spain should be down to about five players by now.

technically the Spaniards are the best team in the tournament but the Russian team is very well organized, they haven't created as many chances as Spain.

I believe that just about everybody towered over the Spanish in this tournament.

He just missed that ball by a hundred yards. That was great.

I think that should have been a yellow for the Russian

Spain seem to be rushing things, quite unlike them. Can't believe there wasn't a card for the Russian player earlier

The foul wasn't as bad as it appeared, the Spanish player acted like he just got shot, referee wasn't buying it.

I agree. They are making that one stupid and rushed pass and breaking up whatever good work they have been doing.

It may not have hurt to much, but it was a terrible foul. No where near the ball. Villa looked hurt on the free kick and now he is being taken off.

I'm at work and can only see ESPN's gamecast - is Villa injured?

Nevermind, I guess so.... Fabregas is coming on.

Russia looking the better side at the moment. Pavlyuchenko is causing the Spanish centre backs all sorts of trouble. Puyol is so overrated.

Yeah he took a free kick and it looked like something happened, might have twinged his hamstring or something but he certainly hadn't looked himself since that point.

I don't think Spain have been all that bad on the diving stakes thus far. Marchena is pissing me off though, he started slapping Saenko trying to get the ball back pushing him etc. Then when Zyrianov went to get the ball from Marchena he kicked it away. Is the bloke just a complete prick or something?

I do not have faith in Torres. He's missed some easy chances already. Spain's not looking as good as I thought they would.

Berezutsky is owning Torres right now.

From ESPN Gamecast: "Berezutsky robs Torres of the ball. He looks a far better defender than the ploddin' Kolodin, the one who peed his pants at the sight of Torres in the group game."

I still have faith -- he is getting the ball and taking shots.

Sergio Ramos is a monster at right back, nothing seems to get by him.

    Well it's about FREAKING time!!

Spain looking a bit messy since Villa went off. Too many CMs turning up on the wing and unable to do anything useful. I'd say Russia are looking just a touch likelier to score.
