    Dunga has a formation stuck in his head and wants to force players to adapt to it, which is the opposite of what a good coach would do. From watching the olympic team it seems he is insisting in Diego as the only true creative player in the middle and again Diego was one of the worst players in the game completly killing the midfield. I dont think Robinho deserves to be in pequim either, sobis today showed alot more heart then he did. That Santos team has these 2 a lifetime pass as titulares absolutos in Dungas eyes.

    Dunga has given Diego licence to be the creative force in midfield and I happen to think Diego has done badly and, the odd goal apart, has contributed little.

    I like the idea of having Ronaldinho on the olympics, Dunga in or out.

    He is probably motivated to play, needs to market himself and if he shows good level he'll regain cionfidence and start out the next season packed with adrenaline.

    Besides, having Ronaldinho on your side will always give youngsters that "prove myself"feeling, and it'll weigh a bit on the opposing side.

    As for Dunga I dont care anymore...

    I am in total agreement with this post. Deco was great for Portugal; just because Barca can't get it right, placing all the blame on Ronaldinho doesn't mean he's damaged goods. They did the same thing to Rivaldo, and ironically it took Ronaldinho to pick up all the pieces of that Barca mistake. Barca has this weird, grandiose image of itself...that rarely proves itself in reality. Nottingham Forest has as many European Cups.

    Barca is a next-level club because Ronaldinho took them there, the only reason you can buy Barca shirts and balls in my neighborhood Target(!!!), why Messi, Bojan, and Dos Santos could develop so well, with him serving as the lightning rod for everything. They are total ingrates who pursue the most politcally expedient course. Sorry for the off-topic babbling!

    As for his horrible year...as someone posted he still scored 8 goals in 17 games! He'll be back.

    Defensores: Zabaleta (Espanyol - ESP), Garay (Racing Santander - ESP), Coloccini (Deportivo La Coruña - ESP), Fazio (Sevilha - ESP) e Monzón (Boca Juniors - ARG);

    Meio-campistas: Gago (Real Madrid - ESP), Banega (Valencia - ESP), Mascherano (Liverpool - ING), Riquelme (Boca Juniors - ARG) e Sosa (Bayern de Munique - ALE);

    We better take full advantage of the 23+ rule.

    lol you're right, from the midfield on up it does look like their senior team, I guess their a young team.

    Dre1614 that attack for brazil looks just as good as the argie one. I dont know if they would win the midfield battle against Gago and Mascherano though..Also I dont know about ronaldinho though, in his current condition he might not even last the first 45 minutes.

    Well, I like Ronaldinho Gaucho. He always will be one of my all time favorite players. But... like the thread I just started... he's woefully out of shape right now. He had a difficult year at Barcelona, and while he had an injury, he certainly didn't do much on the fitness side as he gained quite a bit of weight. Maybe the Olympics would be good for him and a great target but I think you'd be setting yourself up for a letdown if you expect to see anything close to the Ronaldinho Gaucho of old. I really do hope he moves on to a club with good discipline, but that still gives him the freedom to create.

    As for Barcelona. I was never much of a fan. They are entertaining, I'll give them that, but some of the one-two's, etc... and to be honest maybe I don't like them because of all of the hype about them and everyone praising them. And with Ronaldinho, it became a matter of anything he didn't do, would go down against him. If he didn't score and they lost or drew, it was his fault, etc. etc. They're in a rebuilding mode now, shipping out some players like Dos Santos that didn't quite pan out (at the tender age of what, 19 or 20?) and Eto'O and Deco.

    Anyways, what hurts the Olympic roster is DIego not being there. Well... maybe. What happened to Jo? Is he going to be on the roster?

    we'll see how Jo pans out in Man City...if he plays a good season, then its very hard to ignore him from the senior squad...

    the chances of ronaldinho going to the olympics are less than 50%. if he goes to any english team at all, he won't go since their season starts in mid august which conflicts with the olympics.

    and since barcelona have to qualify for the CL, the 3rd round qualifying legs also coincide with the olympics. so that won't happen, unless maybe barca get paired up with a joke team.

    realistically, our only chance of seeing him in in beijing is if he goes to milan since those guys are not even in the CL. so i dunno.

    some over 23 guys in europe that won't conflict with their clubs are baptista, kaka, mancini, and taddei. but that's really about it.

    im actually unsure if we'll even see some of the other european olympic aged guys too -- like fernandinho whose team has to still qualify for CL.

    Jo should be on this team but he will never play for Brazil as long as Dunga is the coach and who could blame him.

    Concerning Ronaldinho I don't expect to see him at Barcelona next year either Milan or Chelsea.

    Looking at Ronaldinho's shape (round :p), I am very, very skeptical about him making the Olympics. This reminds me of Ronaldo before the last World Cup. Tough year with multiple injuries, hasn't played in a couple of months, delayed comeback, fat, getting kicked out from his club ...

    Ronaldo would of done well at Milan if his leg would of stay healthy. Every time he got a chance to play, he scored and was a big influence for Milan.

    Funny thing is that Henrique made all the call-ups until he moved to Barcelona, and then he doesn't appear on this list. Just another reason to believe Dunga gets money on the side from these ridiculous call-ups.
