Notice How Casillas Jumped To The Right Side Each Time? .. Best ********ing keeper in the world i tell you. You can take this to the papers.
MOTM 1. St. Iker Casillas!!! ( who says he can't stop pk's? ) 2. Silva 3. Sergio Ramos ---- 4. Marcos Senna
Ramos? seriously.. no. SuperIker Puyol Senna Puyol was a beast though. Maca tally up these MOTM votes!
Sometimes the good guys just win. Well we all saw the game...no need for tactical analysis...120 minutes of italy concentrating on stopping Spain playing football (and admittedly doing it well), doesn't take too much analysis...so on a personal level I will moan about the BBC commentary of John Motson whose pronunciation of players' names not only changed throughout the game but reached such comic proportions that I'm thinking of buying a Spanish shirt with 'Cazorly' or 'Rahmas' on the back. Anyway, so Iker is now officially the world's best keeper on the grounds that I say so. Dmar, Buitre and the rest of the Spanish naysayers should hang your heads in shame for doubting.
^ YS and Horsey....why bother with the MotM votes....Iker has won the last two seasons here and I seriously doubt that this tourney will be any different. Next year I shall be naming the thread "The Iker Casillas is Man of the Match But Who Came Second? Thread"
I actually have to confess that I didn't have the heart to watch the PKs... But when I kept hearing people shouting in the street, I realized something strange had happenned... That we had won! Well, I'm extremely happy now. But, IMO, MotM was Senna.
^You are a very weak person. I wouldn't argue that over the whole game Senna was probably the best Spanish player (I also though they looked more threatening with Cesc on the pitch)...but when you knock the Italians out on the penalties they looked like they were playing for from the first minute then you deserve to win MotM.
Sometimes it takes an heretic to show us the way. Unless you're Catholic, in which case you're still an heretic on the grounds of being English. But yes, you called it.
I'm definetely going to party with a Spanish crowd if we get to the final! I'm just doubting if I'd fly to Madrid or Vienna. Do you have any idea what the most fun would be? Are they're already some big ass, spanish loco packed squares in Madrid?
