    Hello all,

USA supporter here but I was wondering if anyone knew of a live stream of the game against Argentina. I'm always a fan of watching some high quality soccer and it doesn't get much better than Brazil vs. Argentina. I know sometimes they show the Brazil games on Telemundo or Galavision but any information would be appreciated. Thanks and good luck.

Verón did not even travel to Brazil. He was injured in the match vs. Ecuador and Alfio Basile has cut him from the Argentine delegation. Mascherano was injured as well, but his injury is not as serious as he did go to Belo Horizonte and the Argentine press states it is speculated that he will start.

Well I see Buzzcut is going with the 4-4-2, but he's also going with Mineiro and G.Silva in the midfield!! But nonetheless we'll still win 3-1!! :)

    GloboEsporte said this:
If an Argentina fan can post what the latest lineup prediction is, that would be much appreciated.

Yea but I'm not really interested in the line-ups, just if the game is going to be on TV. Does anyone know? :-D

I took that from www.lanacion.com.ar. Veron is definitely out. Mascherano traveled to Minas Gerais and the hope on their side is that he will recover enough to play. If he is in full form, worse for us, as he is a very young version of Dunga with good aim and loads of talent. Without Mascherano and Veron (though the latter is hated by many Argentines), their starting lineup will definitely be weaker - even though some contend that without Veron, Riquelme will be freer to work.

im not thrilled with baptista coming on but i guess he's all we have. ugh. i would have preferred josue over mineiro though. hopefully anderson can have a break-out performance as a starter too.

i also kind of hope that adriano starts over fabiano. that is the latest possibility. i think the argentines are still scarred by the 04 copa america.

and i should be heading to nevada smith's here in NYC for the game tomorrow. apparently im gonna have to show up like 2 hours before the game to get a good seat. the bartender said that most people who watch the previous game will stick around for this game.

    We'll probably start like this:

    ----------------Pato--------------
    Zanetti--Burdisso--Coloccini--Heinze
    --------Mascherano--Gago---------
    -------------------------------Maxi
    ------------Riquelme---------------
    ----Messi------------------Cruz----

Slow defense, horrible goalkeeper, out of form playmaker and a forward that just can't score.

Julio Baptista over Diego ? Dunga is lost ... and I don't even like Diego.

I guess at least Argentina did not play that well over the weekend and have some injured players.

Wouldn't it be great if we had Pato playing as a forward today ? Then Pato could score on Pato :p

    How Dunga will soon play:

    --------------- Julio Cesar --------------
    Maicon ---- Lucio ---- Juan ---- Gilberto
    ----- Josue -- G. Silva -- Mineiro --------
    ------ Anderson ---- Julio Baptista ------

    ------------- Center Field -------------

    -------------- Luis Fabiano --------------

Baptista fits well into Dungas tactics, as he offers attacking options along with linking with the DM's .

Diego sucks every time he plays, im sorry maybe it is the tactics but he needs to find himself on the bench.

Also i dont even think Vagner Love did too bad considering how Luis Fabiano & Adriano have been doing.

First point is partially correct. He fits into Dunga's tatctics. But JB is not a good ball handler/passer. So he can't really link the DM to the attack.

Diego indeed doesn't play well for us. But unfortunately he is our only creative midfielder we have.

    V. Love ??? He scored twice for us in about 2 years. L. Fabiano has scored 9 goals in 18 games. Saved us against Uruguay.

As for Adriano ... I don't have too much faith in him either. He may be good only to stick him in the box and start sending crosses in. But still better than V. Love.

Is it just me or has Brasil vs Argentina not been as hyped as before?

Maybe due to the recent poor form of both teams?

I agree. Mineiro over Gago ??? Another one is the compliments on Heinze. He is not that good. Lacks speed and can be easily beaten on defense.

And I'd say Aguero and Fabiano is a tie. Aguero had one hell of a year in Spain. At least they didn't try to see Robinho and Messi is a tie.

PLEASE dont give Dunga any ideas... the ones he has are bad enough.

So i've heard that we'll pretty much play the same team. I guess Diego might be changed for Baptista and Anderson may come on for Josue...

Sadly this will hardly help in the attack or deffense against Argentina. I would personally prefer Josue starting over either G. Sylva or Mineiro since he is at least a tad better currently, especially over Mineiro. (Brasileiros seem delusional now, saying Mineiro and Gago have similar quialitys... INSANE)

Diego has been shit, true, but he has never had real passing partners around him anyways... Except Robinho who has been as much crap as him, and I would NOT change Robinho.

Adriano is fat and can barely run with the ball, not the Adriano of 2005 or 2004, just fat and bad. I'd prefer Pato over him, and over both I still like Fabiano.

Anderson has to come on, he proved it against Paraguay (unlike Baptista)... he has learned how to be an attacking and deffensive Volante anyways, and is much better than Josue or Mineiro.

Since it seems that Marcelo was not called up, Gilberto on the left is well suited... though I believe that Marcelo has proven himself but who cares about proving yourself if Dunga's there. (Same ********ing team till 2010...)

I would love to see Elano come on the titulares instead of Mineiro... He adds pace and control in midfield and can also deffend. Is also faster than Mineiro.

As for Maicon or Alves, Maicon plays well against Argentina and through the small insignificant chances that Dunga has given him he hasnt been as relable (both deffense and offense) over Maicon.

    Ideal formation with this team:

    -----------------J. Cesar---------------
    Maicon-----Juan--------Lucio----Gilberto
    ------------------Josue----------------
    ---Elano-----------------------Anderson
    -----------------Diego-----------------
    Rob---------------------------------inho (As in very mobile)
    ---------------Fabiano------------------

    Probable formation...

    -----------------J. Cesar---------------
    Maicon-----Juan--------Lucio----Gilberto
    ----------------G. Sylva----------------
    ---Mineiro-----------------------Anderson
    ---------------Baptista-----------------
    ---------------Fabiano---------Robinho

Well at least Baptista can give some movement in the midfield, he can't pass but he can sure run with the ball alot faster then Diego. I dont like either him or Diego as our creative options but there doesnt seem to be anything else in the bench. Maybe Hernanes should get a chance if things dont go so good, at least he has played in different positions and showed some skill on the ball and great passing.
