Ehhh I will only post some excerpts from it, I'm sure some will bitch and moan about it x infinity... Admit it through your Beat homerism, if Charmaine was the opposition you'd be calling her "dirty" and "rough". Don't deny it. Thomas makes me laugh sometimes... Jeez Tommy...anytime an opposing player looks in the direction of a Beat player you are off the bench and screaming at the official.
You're probably right, so I'll just say I'm glad she's on our team. And since she plays for the Beat instead of calling her dirty, I'll just call her good. I can't imagine the Atlanta Beat without her. She has carried this team on her shoulders and is greatly responsible for getting us to the playoffs three years in a row. She is also greatly responsible for getting Canada up to the U.S. level. I won't deny that she is "physical" (I prefer that word to dirty) but with her talent she could kick most of our U.S. players butts any day. The first quote you posted, by the "un-named defender" said, "I don't think the game needs that." She's wrong- womens soccer needed Charmaine Hooper. She's taken teams to a whole different level and she plays well. That's it- tell all the other defenders to get over it or get better so they can keep up.
Re: Re: Hooper article in the 8/18 Soccer America After yesterday's game add Skylar Little and Wambach to that list
