BWHDs only cost you $2.75? Dammit, I've been robbed!

In any case, a BWHD for $5.50 seems to me to be a fairly reasonable instance of stadium inflation.

No. The Beckham effect has hit the outside-the-stadium vendors too. It's been $4 this year.

    This is good news....

Hopefully, there will be grilled onions and peppers.

As long as they taste good, the price is fair, considering the convenience.

I'm actually very impressed that they listened to the fans and are responding.....

Have to tell you that I've gotten 3 dogs this year at $3.

Haven't gotten 2 for $5 in a few years though. (doubt I'd survive)

I think that you will notice that they have been listening to the fans on several issues. This is just one more. At the least, they are making an effort to give us what we want off the pitch. Hopefully, the rest will come soon.

This is really really special that we can recommend things and they actually happen. I am truly grateful to the ambassadors. I won't be there for this weekends game, but I will be there in a couple of weeks and I look forward to trying them, as well as hearing everyones reports from this weekend. And the picture on the blog is hilarious.

Full credit for responsiveness. Yes, it's not quite the same as the vendor carts, but truly an impressive gesture.

Let's hope Lexi works the grill at halftime.

ok, Ive heard of this BWHD and saw the funny picture of Lalas re-introducing the fans to it.....

Question. Is the bacon wrapped around the hotdog and cooked on the grill with toothpicks attached that they unattach once it hits the bun? or is the bacon just put on top of the dog like mustard??

tooth picks aren't necessary....the bacon is wrapped around and as it cooks it shrinks to fit.

You could say the bacon and hot dog were a match made in heaven. OR you could say that bacon and hot dogs were mechanically separated, smoked, hashed, and tubed, then reunited for a greater cause.

BTW, sincere thanks to the FO on this. I can probably eat at the stadium now, sounds like a good price for good food.

If Levy's doesn't look anything like the carts' I'm gonna be highly disappointed.

last 3 times theyve been 4 dollars outside.

and anyone else think they will probably be using the carts they confiscated from the vendors outside?

I'm pretty sure cooking bacon wrapped hot dogs on those carts is a health code violation, so I'm expecting Levy's to be done behind the scenes and I doubt involving the magical carts.

really, I'll be shocked if the Levy's dog is any good at all.

But I'm going to get it a shot.

Maaybe we should look at this for what it is. The FO and Levy have heard the requests of the fans and are trying to comply. I find it rather funny that just with the announcement of the BWHD's we are now complaining about them when that is what we were asking them for. No one has even tried them. rather than complain about something that we have not tried yet, we should take pride in the fact that our front office is listening to the fans. Lets cut them some slack and say thanks for listening. Many of you have thanked the FO for listening and that is great but many just want to complain. Lets be fair and give then a shot. The Fo is not going to cook them, but they went to bat for all of us and requested that Levy try it again. Levy agreed and here it is. Lets reserve judgement and be hapy that they are listening.

Sorry for the soap box but it is what it is.

Yes, it is a "health code violation" which is why there has been a crackdown on those carts, not only at the HDC but in downtown LA.

I'll let Drew Carey tell you all about it:
