Is anyone seriously going to compare the Spurs to Arsenal? The 5-1 meant little, Arsenal was plagued with injuries, Wenger was playing with his kids, and the CC Cup as whole is not a priority for the Top 4. It's a nice little bonus at best. The Premier League has 4 spots available for Champion's League football, the first 3 spots are basically guaranteed to Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea. The last spot is basically an uphill battle against Liverpool and unless they drop the ball, Tottenham is not going to get into the Champion's League. Gio going to Spurs wouldn't be wise. The good news is his transfer isn't very likely, despite all the media speculation. Really, they interviewed the coach and he already said he doesn't need him/want him, I thought that would close the book on the subject. Instead we get people posting more random links, all which base their story from the same unreliable source.
Anyone hear on ESPNDeportes about Chucho going abroad to coach an Arabic team? Or did i completely hear that wrong?
Makes since, Sven did so well with Lazio and he was the one that brought him to ManC so now that he left I guess he told the peeps at Lazio to pick him up.
I'll have to second Q.Q. You bring up a 5-1 win in the Carling Cup. That's neat. Let's assume Arsenal's season goes just like this past one, but we win the CC, it would still be a disappointment. For Sperz though, that's as good as it gets. You forgot to mention the part about that being the Sperz first win against us since Nov of 1999!!! How long is that?
Best Plot-twist Ever. Also about Nery to Lazio, Huerta might be confusing Nery with Rolando Bianchi, Lazio is looking to fulfill the buy-out option on him. Though S.S Lazio with Rolando/Castillo up top would be pretty sweet.(assuming they both get back on form) Or! It could be Huerta confusing "Nery Castillo" with the old Edgar Castillo to Lazio rumors.
lol, while i can appreciate you're loyalty and dedication to Arsenal, as i am also an Arsenal fan.... but i am not one to underestimate a hungry rival that lingers in our shadow as long as the Spurs have. The Big Four cant stay the Big Four forever, something has to give sometime, although I hope that it does not come as Arsenal's expense, nor am I saying that it will be Tottenham that will be the ones that break through. What I am saying is that Tottenham is having a revolution of sorts, seeking to bring in star players to compliment the ones they already have, with a coach that I think is very good, and together, this could create a formula for success if played right.
An update on the Huiqui situation, looks like it's close to happening. http://www.oem.com.mx/esto/notas/n721536.htm
Well the chat with faitelson is very interesting, he said that the next guy to go to europe will be f arce. Also There is a rumor that after the game tonight, chucho might resign and take a job in saudi arabia. http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/chat/deportes/chatDep?event_id=20839
I suppose that a definition of a "fan" to you is someone who ignorantly bashes all others that, in your case, are not Arsenal. On the other hand, I am one that admires and acknowledges the strengths and potentials of the rivals. Furthermore, i am not exclusively an Arsenal fan because first and foremost I am a fan of Mexico and all of its players. Although I have always admired Arsenal and followed them closely before, I now have a more vested interest in them because of Carlos Vela. However, to make this post relevent, with the rumored transfer of Gio to White Hart Lane would also create in me a newfound interest in that team. Whether they are rival to Arsenal or not means sh*t to me and neither do i seek acceptance from a self-proclaimed Arsenal fan like you. I will discuss this no further.
Yes, although your comment is far from being that of an Arsenal supporter/admirer there is no need to go into it further. Let's avoid the whole club rivalry bit of this discussion. That said, the "Big four" are not going away any time soon, at least not within the next 4-8 years Do we really want Gio to gamble his career away at such a club? Also, Faitelson claims he will end up at Man City instead, just some more rumors being tossed around. Frankly, I'm betting he will stay at Barca at least for another year.
