I never relied on stats and numbers while watching soccer. Ameobi impressed me for what I have seen on the field. Strong, fast and with solid footwork. Only thing that looked little suspicious is that final touch. but this is MLS and not EPL..that problem could be non issue.
hope he turnes out to be our DP for next 2 years.

    Hello,

I am a Newcastle United fan from England and just wanted to say that Shola Ameobi would be a GREAT signing for you. He has scored goals against most of the top teams in England (some great goals btw) and is FAR better than Danny Dichio ever was and would score a hatfull for TFC.

    Many thanks.

Why would he want to come here?

Ameobi would be an upgrade over any striker TFC has.

Exactly, Carver and Robert might probably be a pull but at 26 it is maybe too early for him to consider a move to the MLS. Maybe In 4 or 5 years time, but who knows?

Even in the MLS one has to put the ball in the net.

For better or for worse (depending on how you feel about Ameobi), it doesn't look like he's going to be coming to play in the MLS:

Ameobi's agent Steven Denos has indicated his man would be interested in speaking to Roeder about a switch to Norfolk - but by yesterday lunch time no bid had been forthcoming from Carrow Road.

Denos, who works for Key Sports Management, ruled out a switch to Toronto.

“The MLS is not an option we're looking at,” Denos said. “We've had no contact from Middlesbrough and no offer in from Norwich City.

I believe you are mistaken. I think Wynne is an intelligent player he has all of the tools to be a top flight player. True many of his runs down the wings tend to be none threatening, but many of them are. We don't have another defender with Wynne's unique blend of strength and speed. I feel with more exposure to better quality play and players Wynne will harness and absorb the necessary skill sets to go beyond many of our expectations.
