the dots are the rivets used to attach the sole to the upper so they do not seperate. more common on boots like copa mundials, the newer boots such as the puma v1.08 does not have it as the upper is glued to the sole

...and some k-leather boots stretch more than others. Some people say the way the upper has it's stitching plays a big factor in how a kangaroo leather boot will stretch.

i have narrowed it down to two boots
predator powerswerve miadidas or mercurial sl
    the ?price isnt an issue
its that i have played only in predators for 5 years straight now
ive already had a pair of powerswerves and like them and was going to get another pair but the sl's are so amazing that i cant decide
should i just try my teamates vapors before warm up to decide if i like the shape of them?
because i take all dead balls and long shots are easy but because the vapors are such a different shape would that take some getting used too?

I'd go for the miadidas PS. If that's what you're used to, and its working, then I'd stick with them. Just imagine how good they'll be when they're custom fitted!

In the Nike thread, he asked if the sizing on the Mercurial SL's would be the same as the MVIV size-wise. I assume he's talking about the SL's now.

guys help i can't decide if i should get the puma v5.08s in turf or indoor. i will use them a lot for freestyling, preferably on flat surfaces, so the indoor sounds good, but maybe the turfs would be more versatile? HMMM

I would get the turfs since you can use them on practically any surface whether you want to play football indoors or you want to do a cross country in them they will give you good grip.

but i have a pair of v5.08's in turf and i was quite disapointed when i got them. They feel quite heavy and are heavier than my shifts which is strange since the pumas are meant to be a "speed boot". I only bought them because they do look quite nice.

I was at my local soccer store here in Maryland and they had the VAPOR IVs leather. They were black with white nike check and light blue studs. Any info on them? Thanks

I play youth select soccer here and I have grown out of my profi ligas. What are some mid ranged priced boots that are good? I play midfield and sometimes striker. The reason why I don't want to spend to much is because my feet are growing.

that's what i was thinking but the turfs have fairly large studs and i figured that may make indoor/tennis court play difficult.

and do you think the indoors would be any lighter?

how about some lasers since they are getting cheaper? or some predator abs? but if you want some newly released boots that are mid range then get the strikes, not sure if they are any good but they dont seem much different from the laser II's

no the grip is fine i have always wore astro turf simply because of the versatility. im not sure if the indoors would be lighter but the reason my astros feel a tad heavy is because of the outsole being chunky. i cant guarantee you anything so you might just have to buy and hope.

Ahhh....if you're not going to help yourself by posting a stupid question like that with no details, then yes. Just go buy them. If they don't fit properly, maybe you'll learn to read the first post of the thread before asking questions.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good street/indoor shoe for me... I'm more for a light, very close to the foot fit, with good arch/foot support. My current indoor shoes aren't doing it for me, i'm travelling overseas, where i'll probably only get to play on the streets.

i can't decide either to get the mercurial talaria or adipures. They equally share comfort but which is better for a me that
    -takes free kicks
    -plays wing
-does a lot of tricks and changes direction a lot

Also, will companies like Adidas or Nike return shoes that have been worn? I would like to get a refund on my shoes and i don't know if they will.
    Thanks?

If I were you, I'd go with the adiPures. I have Vapor IV's and pure's, and I can safely say I prefer my adiPures over the Vapors. I'm not sure about Talaria IV's, as I've never worn them, but if the higher end model is any indication, then I'd go with Adidas.

Companies will only accept returns if the shoes are faulty. If there's nothing wrong with the boot, and they've been worn, then no, they will not accept them. Hope that helps.
