I just got me morning feed to the LA Galaxy Blog, and to be quite honest, how disappointing. We are suppossed to be the elite club in the MLS, and you and LD believe or have us to believe that we are capable of competing worldwide. We also have an expanding fan base reaching continnets afar.
What is amazing to me is we are the elite club, close to technology central in SOCAL, with a great fan base local and international, and dcunited, rsl, ne revs all have blogs that have been taken audio for months. Our blog is just getting the capability... I thought you had a band, couldn't you use some of that equipment...Always an excuse in everything. But honestly what really irks me as a season ticket holder, is that toronto fc, and redbulls have a great, again a great little variety tv web show(loosely 10-15 min) dedicated to the goings on around their clubs on the net. Oh yeah houston has one too now. We are elite in what ways. Did we spend all of our money on dp and gullit. Look I don't want to interupt whats happening on the Pitch now(its been awhile with out since i have smiled so much) or selling off a player to get a weekly video magazine, or discontinue the fancy giveaways, but I have to believe being a top club and hopefully having a decent marketing dept, we could get a clue.

Long time (3 yr)season ticket holder.

Sorry about the diatribe BigSoccer members, I just want our GM to know that he should keep his marketing team in the office and not out on the reserve pitch(Gullit's comments)

That was a tad tough to read.

Try reading it with a thick Scottish accent. That seemed to work for me.

    a) we do have a small web television presence http://www.youtube.com/user/TheLAGalaxy

    b) it was a ticket agent, not a member of the marketing department that took part of the reserve game.

    c) you should really proof read before sending any unsolicited correspondence you want taken seriously. casual grammar and staccato sentence structure is fine in an informal environment, but doesn't work when looking for results.

Sorry Lads, sitting in OC airport waiting on my flight using a phone. Respect on the long read, its hard to type on my treo. Take a watch at tfctv or redbull insider on their mls site. A little frustrated with the blog and another excuse. I know we have the connections to trump them all. The thrid division teams in england all have tv websisodes.

    Stay Well

I dont think having or not having a blog, let alone audio links determines if one is a super club or not.

I personally think we have made leaps and bounds by signing Ruud as head coach compared to years past. We are certainly a better team than our 2005 cup team. The problem is the whole league is getting better. Still though, we are competing, we are not in last place, we have drive and determination. Whats the problem really? Enjoy the ride.

FWIW, I used an eastern indian accent when reading his rant, becuase it sounds cool (think Apu from Simpsons) and becuase he mentioned being close to technology.

I must admit it's pretty disappointing when you see how many blogs and posts the other MLS teams have compared to ours.

We are one superstar central defender away from being an MLS super club for a year or two. Not sure how likely that is to happen.

On a positive note, since I haven't heard good things about the food and service, we may now actually be closer to becoming a super club than a supper club.

That was slightly too hard to read for me.

    How about

    "Dear Alexi,

You are killing the team. Please go away

    Felicitations"

    The HDC concessions are terrible.

    Our team is ehhhh.

And now, it turns out that our blog sucks too.

You know what? I'm going home and I'm going to have that big bowl of ice cream I've been lusting after. I'm sorry, but I'm just never going to fit back into those pants and I just have be honest about it.

Wait, what were we talking about? Oh, the blog.

You know what the great thing about a blog/website is? The start-up costs are near zero. Quality work will find its own level.

Because if I know anything, I know one thing: a good blog will make my otherwise pathetic life that much more bearable. It's either a good blog, or my head is really going in the oven this time.

Are Kevin and Bean still on KROQ in the morning?

I remember when the O.J. trial was going on, they would read the actual trial transcripts, and have the guy who voiced Groundskeeper Willie from The Simpsons read O.J.'s parts --and he would just yell every line:

    "Prosecutor:
And you were inside the house at the time..."

    Mr. Simpson:
    Nu-o-o-o-o! Tha's nah t-r-r-u-ue! I was in me ya-r-r-r-r-r-d!"

    So. Damn. Funny.
I had to pull my car over so I wouldn't crash.

To borrow and change a quote from Allen Iverson..."we're talking about a blog, man. What are we talking about? A blog. We're talking about a blog, man."
