Bolanos was voted man of the match but I want to give it to Guerron. Did you see his footwork?!!!

Thre defenders against Guerron and he breaking through.

He's like De la Cruz and Kaviedes in one.

According to the stats (I did not see the game)...Kaviedes didn't have a single shot on goal...is this correct?

By the way, Liga's next opponent in the next round would be RIver or San Lorenzo, right? I think it is possible for this time to go far! Cevallos looks solid and the team never looked better in a long time.

yea but he got hot mostly at the end... bolaños was consistently attacking.. and he served bieler an easy tap in that he missed like a retard which brings me to the arguement that we dont have a foward good enough to make to the top.. bieler is alright for the domestic league but in la libertadores we need a foward who can finish plays in a positive way.. how many goals does bieler have in la libertadores?..1 !!!!!!... and it came against arsenal in that 6-1 win in quito...he scored i think the 4th goal... i dont think the defense was even trying at that point.. i mean even obregon has more goals than this clown bieler in la libertadores... isnt Zura having trouble in barcelona?.. i think there was a rumor that he might be going back to imbabura... maybe liga should make a move for him..

It should be a good match. I just want to see goals, but especially from Liga. the outcome will be close.
    I predict:

    Go Liga!!

Did you see the Argentinian sore losers??? Veron didn't want to exchange shirts. So glad to see those guys lose sometimes and realize they are not the only shit in South America.

Clasificamos a Cuartos de Final! :)

very tough game for Liga in Argentina. but they
remained strong and played a clean game.
estudiantes got frustrated and started playing dirty.
Guerron was marked by 3 to 4 guys at times.
He made a big difference in the game...

Bieler stills can't find the back of the net, it's amazing how he can miss absolute sitters. Felt kind of bad for the guy because he was snubbed by Veron at the end.

    A tale of two halves.

Liga played an excellent and intelligent first half. They held their ground and also flashed offense ... not just counterattacking but with a good amount of toque. Bolanos and Guerron opened spaces with their speed and Manso was hustling (and helped create the free kick by pressuring the goalkeeper to use his hands). They definitely deserved to go to the dressing room tied and with one foot in the next round.

The second half almost gave me a heart attack. Liga dropped their midfield back to the top of the defending goal box and Estudiantes played with seven in offense. Liga bet 100% on the counterattack, but it was practically non-existent (Bieler worries me more every game). Honestly, for about 10-15 minutes in the second half, I thought Estudiantes had Liga pinned and and if they had a bit more luck could have pushed at least another one in. I have to credit Bauza for the strategy, because it worked, but that was not typical Liga ball by any stretch of the imagination. I didn't see who Fox gave the player of the match, but I would give it to Ambrossi ... he played both halves impeccably ... defense is not his strength (the man tiene salida) ... but he fought tooth and nail and embodied the ganas that got Liga through. (Cevallos was also excellent and very, very seguro).

Enough analysis! On we go to the next round ... and how sweet it is.

Congratulations LDU fans. I have no reasons to like your team as I am a fan of SPFC... but your team played an excellent first half against a tough Estudantes da Prata team in La Plata and you guys were winning till the 38th minute. And I'm glad your team made it in great part because that Enzo PErez is a schmuck who openly disrespected your player by pinching his nose - in front of the referee. A well-deserved red card.

    "PINCHA"... LOL
