"Red Rover, Red Rover... Hey Revs fans, bend over! " Count me out for this one. If Brazil commands top dollar then let it be their fans who fork over the $$$$. Well, you may Be Fijian, but I'll be damned if I'll be downing Kava at future tailgates: The Magpie
no kids under 2 with out a ticket. ticket is $55. I wrote my ticket guy and told him I feel like I'm being screwed by the team. They get my money week in and week out; my tickets, concessions, merchandise, etc. and they want to screw me for an extra $55. Even more stupid on their part because my 8 month old wont spend any money or actually fill a seat. they could sell that ticket to some one who will spend money on concessions, merchandise, etc and may even be a potential repeat customer. Instead they are just jacking their base/loyal fans. Luckily, the babysitter will cost less. I've also decided I will be not buying any food bev or merch for the rest of the season at the stadium (which by estimation is probably 2 beers a game + food plus + 100-200 in crap from the store). By my estimation probably an easy $400-500 bucks. Not big money, but they want to quibble over $55 bucks. ******** them
This isn't a new policy for double-headers. My son is turning eight in less than a month and it was in place back when he was a baby. Granted, I don't think we had a game where tickets cost as much as this one, but we were told ahead of time we wouldn't be able to bring him to certain doubleheaders without a ticket. That was in the old stadium at that. Mike
I didn't realize that this policy has been around for years. I noticed what Peabrain said, and yeah, I find it annoying to have to pay a ticket for someone who has no clue as to what's going on on the field (yeah, go ahead and say it--I know you'r thinking it--that's half the crowd at every game). I guess the thinking is that if a baby takes a seat, then that's one less seat a paying customer can buy. And if there is no GA, the kid is going to be on your lap if they sell all the seats around you. As the great philosopher Tony Soprano once said, "Ahh, whadddayagonnado?"
According to this page: http://library.kraftsportsgroup.com/2008NCAALax_FAQ.pdf There will be an MBTA train for the upcoming college lacrosse tournament.
Oh boy. This'll extend this thread a couple more hundred posts... Not only are they running a train....But it's free! Time for my hail Monty's... Bob Kraft hates soccer.... Bob Kraft hates soccer.... Bob Kraft hates soccer.... Bob Kraft hates soccer.... Bob Kraft hates soccer....
1,000 fans took advantage of the FREE train to the stadium for the lacrosse games. And yet still no word on having the opportunity to pay for a train for our game.
I don't care about that game but I was looking forward to seeing Kaka in all his hotness. Oh well, more tailgating time for me.
If you've seen the TV ad the team is running on Spanish-language television most of the shots are of Kaka and Jar Jar Binks. I wonder if this will turn out like last year's Beckham game, with people complaining about a "bait and switch" ripoff.
