err, umm, where do I start with this one.

Just a quick try- Clan and I dont agree on everything (shocker I know) and if you would take the time to read through the threads and posts you will see that for the most part nearly all the members of this board dont agree with each other, whether its an assessment of a player's performance in a game or a possilbe transfer target, there is a great deal of discussion regarding ones opinion on the matter.

I have disagreed with everyone on this board, and vice versa. The majority of the time its civil, but occasionally not (hello mikebarr :D), but at the end of the day there is usually some cordial resolution in the matter. I suggest you take a deep breath and read back through your posts paying special attention to the tone and manner your posts.

As I am putting Bruckner back to sleep and getting off topic, I will once again say that in my opinion that J. Cole is POY and leave it at that.

    End of.

Well, it could be related. Macksam may have drunk too much beer yesterday in his elation that is causing him to be irrational.

Don't risk it. A combination of that toxic substance and your advanced age would be detrimental to your health.

    Michael Essien yet again.

Plays wherever you ask him too, always reliable and has scored some vital goals in the past few games that have kept us in the title race. Always showing qualities of leadership. We just look a different side when Michael Essien is not in the team. Absolutely no bite in midfield. Easily my player of the year.

    Runner up would be Carvalho.

Joe Cole has had good games but he's never been a game breaker like Ballack has. I don't think anybody has controlled as many games like he has done so far.

I think the simple fact is no single player has had a vastly superior season to another. Between injuries and ANC most of our players have missed a decent portion of the season. You could make pretty good cases for Lampard, Joe Cole, Ballack, Essien, Carvalho, and I'm sure others.

Over half the team has put in a season good enough to be considered for best in the club. For me, I wouldn't want it any other way.

I agree with everything you said, except for the runner up. I think J. Cole gets that nod, with JT at a close third.

Either Essien, Ballack or J. Cole. Ballack really showed what he's about this season, Essien is, as always, great, and Joey Cole is always fantastic and has scored some crucial goals as has everyone really.

Mak, played more then he wanted and held the midfield and team togeather throuogh the injuries to the others and ANC absences ,was sublime when needed, and even coached a bit so Mak gets the nod over Carv, J Cole and Lamp, who despite the games missed is responsable through goals and assists, not even counting 2nd assists, for a shocking percentage of the team's goals for the season

Essien even controls the game from the RB position! The man is just a monster.

    Joe Cole for me.

For the Ballack voters in the house, I think it's important to note that it's Player of the Year (as in the 07/08 season, not 2008). He's only played in 20 games this year (due to his ankle injury) and while he's an impact player of note recently, I can't honestly vote for someone who has played fewer than half the games.

I dont know I remember some poor form from Essien and a lot of us demanding he lose his spot in the 11 on occasion. This to me, has not been his shining season for us.

I chose Ballack but I've kind of got a bit of a man-crush on him tbh so I'm biased.
