The title and article say it all. Despite frustration, Peter V is hopeful to re-gain his spot because "it's a long season and anything can happen."

Class guy, always been Galaxy through and through. Great quotes from Pete in the article:

This is classy stuff. He certainly is the type of guy we want on our team, I'm just worried he can't be a very effective player for us anymore. I'd hate to see us trade him away, but maybe thats best for him if he can get some playing time somewhere else. Ideally I'd like to see him go onto the coaching bench with Cobi.

The most ideal compromise would be for him to do what Cobi did - retire and begin working with the new players in more of a coaching role.

really if there was a way we could put that love for the G's that petes got in him into everyone on the team we would be unstopable

Say what? The opening line from the article:

The reason seems pretty clear to me.

No offense, Pete, but the team loses when you're on the field. You're replaced at halftime of the 4-0 blowout in Colorado because you were totally ineffective.

Then, you get a chance to redeem yourself vs. Toronto when you're subbed in - and you laze around and then figure into the game-winning play for the other team.

I admire your heart and passion for the Galaxy...but you and everyone else knows why you're not playing anymore.

Couldnt have said it better. I never have doubted his heart for the team, but his salary and how he performs on the field are two different things. Unfourtanetly, this is a business and his heart is not winning us games when he is on the field.

If love and heart for the G's is all it took to be on the roster, than half of us here would be on the team.

It's about skill and passion. Pete has one but not the other.

STill kicking, it seems you have a negative opinion. But at the same time absolutely wrong and i need to prove to you that you are full of shit because i know your eyes are brown.

Los Angeles Galaxy (0-1-0) vs. Colorado Rapids (1-0-0)
    March 29, 2008 -- Dick's Sporting Goods Park

    Scoring Summary:
    COL -- Terry Cooke 1 (unassisted) 10
COL -- Christian Gomez 1 (penalty kick) 60
    COL -- Omar Cummings 1 (Terry Cooke 1) 67
    COL -- Colin Clark 1 (Terry Cooke 2) 80

i know you are wrong about the 4-0 in colorado, he was in and it was only 1 -0 at halftime. It seems like the lack of luster from our newbie Mcdonald and our defense was at fault.

    Game participation:
Los Angeles Galaxy -- Steve Cronin, Chris Klein, Greg Vanney, Abel Xavier, Michael Gavin (Troy Roberts 67), Ely Allen (Alan Gordon 46), Peter Vagenas (Brandon McDonald 46), Alvaro Pires, David Beckham, Landon Donovan, Carlos Ruiz,

Pete was not in when they blew the GALAXY out of the water. Get your facts right please.

Is all that you say full of shit?

Excuse me, read my post, dipwad.

I did NOT say he caused the 4-0 drubbing. I said he was replaced at halftime due to ineffectiveness.

    And my eyes are blue.

Pete, it's time for you to retire.get a job in the organization.
We do need your spot for younger and better players.

    Thanks for the past...

Anyone wonder what exactly it is that provokes these extreme responses? Wild!

    "Vagenas isn't that great"

"You're full of it. I'm going to kill you! Take back your dirty lies!"

What the hell is that all about?

Pete as a person is a nice guy. Admit it. Ans he bleeds LAG. Id love for him to move into the LAG organization, like taking over Lalas job. Who better to hype the team than Pete? At least with Pete his passion for the team is REAL and not just some job. I couldnt see Pete as a coach though...."Sesay... you gotta PASS BACK! BACK! Theres 10 guys behind you! Give em the ball! Share! If you get nervous, just pass it dude. PASS BACK!" Ya, I dont think that would work too well.

Dude that is low, pete has done a lot for the Galaxy. It is not his fault he looks like dracula.

I have also come to forgive him for his multiple misses from the 5 meter box.

He has been a good guy and does not deserve that kind of crap
