    Absolutely dreadul.....yuck.
If you're gonna put a collar on a shirt, make it fit in nice....our alternate black kit from last year, was class (as we've all acknowledged), the collar fit in nice.

But this collar makes it look like a Polo/Golf shirt.....i pray that's not it :(

I hate jerseys that have collars. I love the slim-fit of the orange jersey. I'd buy that. I couldn't bring myself to purchase the horrendous electric yellow kit of this season. They look like something Andy Warhol would design on a really bad acid trip.

I know. That's why I said that it "should" be our away kit. I like it a lot!

Or something he would design if he was sober.

Agreed, that's one of the worst collars I've seen on a shirt. Right now I'd have to go for the keeper shirt as well.

Yeah we're also having an awful, AWFUL yellow (looks like custard) and a half-decent black (looks like a ref's kit).

I am not feeling next years shirt at all. I LOVE collars on shirts, we haven't had one in atleast 8-9 years on a home top. I can't bring myself to get a goalkeeper top. I wise man once told me that's the equivalent of buying an NFL kicker's jersey. I love white tops as well. I love this years third one. Hopefully we'll get another.

Instead of getting next years top, I went to TOFFS and got the all blue 1970 shirt with #6 on the back. Quality.

I'm going to buy a Petr Cech goalkeeper shirt next. There's just something interesting about wearing a longsleeve soccer jersey with Cech on the back. Here in the NW, long-sleeves come in handy too. ;)
After that, I'll get a Lampard new home kit if he stays with the club. Or I'll get a Ballack one if Lampard leaves. My dad might kill me if I'm wearing a German on my shirt though.

This man of which you speak sounds very wise. Very wise indeed.

Retro is the way to go. I got my 77-79 collared kit a few years back and it's almost exclusively the one I wear. The last kit I recall with a collar was a Fly Emirates one from a few years back.

Speaking of TOFFS, do they sell FA Cup Final DVDs? I figured I treat myself if I do well on exams and got a job (Which is looking likely and more likely). And if they do, do they sell them in NTSC format?

I know a better site to get them. Cheaper too, like $10 a piece direct from the source, not knock offs. Give me a few hours (I actually have to teach today!) and I'll post the link.

Man, the 07/08 first kit is probably the best Chelsea's ever had, looks like the 08/09 is going to be one of the worst. :(

How is this year's any different from next years? They are practically the same. I gotta say though, the sponsor just doesn't look right without Mobile.

Nah, the Umbro centenary kit is the best we've had in the last 10 years. The Fly Emirates with the collar is a close second. Those are the only ones I've bought.

Agreed and agreed. I also am very partial to white shirts. Love this year's third shirt as well as the one from a few years ago that looked like a cigarette packet.

So I'm hearing the blue is a different shade? I can't really tell from the photos, how different is it?

I think the new kit actually looks pretty good in the pictures on Chelsea Megastore, ie. when someone's actually wearing it.
