Has anyone been keeping track of third jerseys or any other special one-off jerseys for MLS teams this year? So far I've seen 2: the blue jersey from Chivas and the green jersey from RSL. Have I missed any or have any others been announced?
Is that the current Adidas template for MLS? Something looks off, but I'm not quite sure what. It looks more like the Adidas shirts that were used for youth and college teams.
Thanks. I thought it looked familiar. In jersey years, 2006 seems so far away. Most of the youth teams I remembering wearing that have moved on to more current designs...
2006 FC Dallas 3rd jersey. Honored Tigres. 2008 Atletico Parananese is honoring FC Dallas with their 3rd jersey.
Is that feature on all of the new jerseys? I know I've seen it on the DC jersey, but I'm not sure about the rest.
I think just DC, Chicago, and RSL are using that jersey template this year. But the Chivas 3rd jersey seems to be the only one that has that design highlighted in a different color.
To nitpick a bit, this is not an announced 3rd jersey for RSL; in fact, when asked directly about the prospects for a "formal" or official third jersey during the preseason, GM Garth Lagerway stated that RSL needs some more years as a franchise and to establish the main jerseys more firmly before considering adding a third jersey. This is a projected one-off.
whats the point of the chivas away shirt? they should just make the 3rd shirt away, and dump that stupid, second striped shirt.
Anyone have a picture of the Bayern Munich FCD tribute jersey? Oh, wait.... A lot of us in Dallas predict a CAP tribute jersey this year since they already had the Tigres one two years ago and both are sister clubs. That would bring the old Dallas Burn (red & black) color scheme back if it happens.
