I would not be surprised to see Onyewu go to Ligue 1 in France. France actively looks at Standard because they are a good team and one of the few teams in Wallonia, the french speaking region of belgium. Lately lots of good players in Belgium have been going to France, (Dindane, Dosunmu,) largely because of language reasons, and frances familarity with the belgian league.
