I would disagree with that. Cronin has conceded goals that COULD have been saved. But he hasn't let in any that SHOULD have been saved. Big difference.

Now, that howler from Guzan in Columbus is another story....

I wonder if soccerfan91 can duplicate Guzans flub in his FIFA game and then post the video so we can all sit back, eat popcorn with a jug of coke and laugh our a$$es off over and over!

I think this is as big as it gets in MLS, frankly. I hate to use the term must-win, but this is up there. A win here I think gives us the confidence we need to go on the road and take a few games.

This is a must-win. For points, for pride, for preparation on the road. The team needs take all they can get. I really, really want a Galaxy win this Saturday.

...where he subsequently beat out the other two keepers in camp for the second-string spot in the game against Sweden.

I think it would be a mistake to take Franchino out of his position as a central defensive mid. His best trait is his physicality, his worst is his lack of speed (and the demons that possess him from time to time). He gave us some bite in the center of the park last game --something LA has needed for a loooong time-- so why would we want to give that up? Also at outside back he will be forced to play in the box frequently - not a good idea for a player that teeters on a foul on most every play.

Yeah you're right. I did like Randolph up at mid last game though, so it'd be nice to have someone else at the left back. I just don't think as much of Tudela at midfield as others do.

All the works of man have their origin in creative fantasy. What right have we then to depreciate imagination.

Of course you know this means the thread could spiral into NSFW-I say, pass the chalupa

It probably would have been quicker to note that Babayaro played left midfeild for all of 30 minutes.

How many threads did soccrfn ask about Babayaro in? Like ten? :D

As much as I'd like to see Wicks as our keeper, I think all of you people putting him in the starting lineup will be disspointed. There's no way Cronin doesn't start Saturday, especially after being praised by Ruud after the Houston game.

I know you're a new fan and all (welcome!) but you have seriously got to stop this. It's getting annoying that you post this same question or something similar about lineups in EVERY THREAD in this forum - all to play some video game?! You're playing a game! Why not experience putting together your own lineup for the FUN OF IT! Isn't that what it's all about?!

Might I suggest your own separate thread for all your lineup quetions? That way, you might find the answers you seek - though, I wonder how hard you're really seeking them because this question about Babayaro has been answered a few times already and yet you still post the question again.

I might have to utilize my "ignore" list and I really hate to do that, especially to a new fan. But sheesh.

**Edit: Where's the post go that I just quoted?! Now I look like a fool AND a jerk. :(

    Hallo,

    ich sprecht ja Deutsch.

Ich wollte wirklich euch nicht nerven, ich wollte nur wissen ob Babayaro als LV spielt oder besser im LM.

Don't read into what all of us have said for a few months now. Tudela impressed all of us as a central midfielder. We liked the way he distributed the ball around while becks was gone. I personally believed he should have kept the roll and pushed becks to right wing (they did partially, becks to right. next is try tudela in central with becks in right) and randolph playing LB or LM.

That in my opinion is the right way to go with that pair of people. Now, if only Ruud would give Tudela the chance on the pitch is the question. Why he put him on the left last week is beyond me.
