    bittersweet victory :(

    FUCK KLEBER!!!! AND FUCK SANTOS!!!!

but this is what happens when you lose at home like we did against Cucuta

    hopefully, next year

now we gotta focus 110% on the Liga and go after that 12th Star

How did you end up with the Santos-Cucuta game live? Was the Falls Church FSE showing that game instead?

    ============

Oh well. Back to the league. Considering how impossible people were saying it would be two weeks ago, it still only came down to a goal in the 88th minute. Their big messup was losing at home while Avila was with the U23s.

Agree, very disappointing. Their goes any change of a Mexican team bring the Libertadores trophy to Mexico. :(

Atlas is doing very well but without Achucarro they are going to struggle, and as for America no team with a defense that bad will reach a final.

I agree, Chivas was the most complete team by far.

Yeah but the guy I was quoting said he was stuck watching Santos-Cucuta, the "stuck" part being what seemed weird to me.

That's what I said a couple of weeks ago. I said that if they didn't make it to the next round it would be a fracaso. DGREAT didn't like my comment at all. :D

Now I feel different though. At the time they were playing awful. In the last two games however, Chivas left everything they had on the field and I respect that.

the reason why i dont feel like its a fracaso is because at the beginning it felt like the focus was towards the domestic leauge imo

Thing is while a lot of us said "Yeah, lets go for both cups!" in the back of our minds we knew that we didn't have the depth to carry us in both. We all saw how the national team call-ups affected the team.

There was a bad run for a while but we're back and ready to take on all comers. Even Monterrey with that dumb ass song they have up on mediotiempo.com.

if we dont win the domestic cup then i will call this year a fracaso, nothing should stop us now.

We can look forward to the league! Our full team is with us and every sub is a super sub! This year its ours! and would give us a spot in Copa Libertadores 2009 or 2010?

I see it as a win-win. If we have to go to concacaf, then it means we won the liguilla (or at least made the final), and we have a shot at the club world cup. If we lose in the liguilla and don't make concacaf, then we probably end up in Sudamericana and/or Libertadores.

Its unfortunate we didn't go far in this tournament. It might be our last Copa Libertadores as long as we continue our strong appearances in our league.

Concamex Champions Cup, here we come!
