Chivas USA got a difficult point on the road at improved FC Dallas and looked sensational at home against a very tough RSL squad. I give them a slight edge over KC (who has also looked very good) but played both games at home.

    Tier one

    1. Chivas USA
    2. Kansas City Wizards
    3. DC United: redeemed themselves with sensational performance against Toronto FC
    4. FC Dallas: a pleasant surprise
    5. Chicago: similar circumstances to Chivas

There doesn't seem to be a gap between the top five at this point; it will take time to separate them from the pack.

    Tier two

    6. New England: disaster due to bad call and injuries
    7. Colorado: greatly improved
    8. Houston: still solid but not the same; can't figure out why they are giving up so many goals
    9. Real Salt Lake: a tie and respectable performance away against two of the league's best teams

    Tier three

    10. New York: solid start; where was Altidore?
    11. Columbus: three of four solid halves
    12. LA Galaxy: much better but still a long way to go

    Tier four

    13. Toronto FC
    14. San Jose Earthquakes

Both tier four clubs will make a run to tier three this season but no higher

What bad call, take a look at the picture for the Harmse and Larentowicz thread post #15, then tell me that was a bad call.

I love how folks only look at NE's injuries. I guess it isn't significant that Chicago has been without THREE (of four) of their starting backline these first 2 games.

    1. Chivas
    2. Chicago
    3. DC United
    4. Kansas City
    5. NY Red Bull

    1. Kansas City [LW3](2-0-0) If they keep this up all the teams will ditch their SSS for some minor league fields
    2. Chicago [LW5](1-1-0) Very solid performance and the back line played great.
    3. New York [LW4](1-0-0) They are the "Lists" sleeper team. Wasted no time getting out of the gate!
    4. Chivas [LW7](1-1-0) Very solid team that should hover around the top 4 all year.
    5. FC Dallas [LW6](0-2-0) Decent performances, but they need to start scoring more than the other guy.
    6. Colorado [LW2](1-0-1) Played in the most exciting game of the week...they just dont know why the Rockies were in the locker room with them.
    7. DC United [LW9](1-0-1) Welcome back! However, a win over Toronto FC does not make a full comeback.
    8. Houston [LW11](0-1-1) Maybe the dynasty is coming to an end or just maybe thinking of CONCACAF Cup.
    9. New England [LW1](1-1-0) When things go bad...they go bad. They could not afford to play a man down...and what was that call about!
    10. LA Galaxy [LW14](1-0-1) AH........that sigh of relief came from all the MLS execs that LA does have a pulse.
    11. Columbus [LW10](1-0-1) Away from the unfriendly confinds of "Crew Stadium" resulted in a usual crew outcome.
    12. Salt Lake [LW8](0-1-1) Looked like they still had a late Blanco goal hang over from last week.
    13. San Jose [LW12](0-0-1) A very close early off-sides call could have changed the momentum agaist their SOCal rivals...but did make the LA back line look much better after that.
    14. Toronto FC [LW13](0-0-2) Looks like more of last year...you only hope for good things for their supporters though!

    1. Kansas City- Two wins against two quality sides. They are getting the job done at home.
    2. Chicago- 4-0 victory against NE with an injured squad. Played with confidence, look to be a dangerous side going forward.
    3. New York- Easily could have won 4-0, and did so without Altidore, Richards and Freeman. Osorio's tactics worked perfectly. With the signings being projected, NY will only get better.
    4. Chivas- Good start at home. RSL are not world beaters, but Chivas is still a quality side.
    5. Colorado- Can't drop them too far down the list. A 4-0 shellacking the previous week, and suffered a heart breaker on the road this week. Maybe a side to watch going forward?
    6. Dallas- Need to start winning some games. There's talent in Texas, and they did well to get a point on the road. Shocking defense at times though.
    7. DCU- Maybe a 4-1 win will get them out of their typical early season funk. Toronto is shit though.
    8. New England- When it rains, it pours. Not a good week for the Revs, let's see how they bounce back.
    9. LA Galaxy- Good job bouncing back from a tough week.
    10. Houston- You have to take care of business at home. 6 goals given up in two games...wow.
    11. RSL- Not much to say here except they lost to a better team.
    12. Columbus- There's the Crew we all remember. I really do not think that Sigi is the right man for the job.
    13. San Jose- Expansion, expansion, expansion. Back line cost them this one.
    14. Toronto- Same old. Maybe instead of signing England retreads, they should be looking for quality South American talent.
