Add these two Colombians to the rumor mill. Ives speculates that these two are JCO's transfer targets:

I just read the article and these players appear to be Ives' Guesses so im taking it with a grain of salt, However from what he wrote about Obster I would love to have him on this team.

Yepes was a good player when I last saw him play for Reeber Play.

I coulda sworn that I heard a while back that MLS was trying to buy his contract. Fuzzy memory from all the "grass" over the yrs.

Never heard of the other guy, but if JCO wants him, he can't be TOO bad, verdad? :)

I'd be shocked if Mario Yepes came here - I just read that he's getting 250,000 Euros a month.

Um, WAY out of our price range. We might be able to pay him that a year...

Well, that's the thing - if you look at the draft and what he brought in to Chicago last year, JCO appears to have an eye for talent. If you look at Echeverry and his Colombians onry transfer policy, and it gets a little worrisome.

    So idk.

Yepes a solid defender he'll help out this team a lot IF Red Bulls get him. I never heard of Valencia, and yes I'm Colombian

never heard of Valencia but dont think Yepes is happening as his french team won the French Cup and want to renew his contract, he also has offer from spain, germany and england. This rumor has more credibility than the Renteria one but is still bogus. No way NYRB cant afford Vargas but can Yepes

If Yepes did come he would be a DP as he is or was the best paid player in france like 2 years ago, and dont think that NY has room for another DP, also he is injured again, I believe.....

I was kind of skeptical about Echeverry as well, but he looked pretty damned good last night. I have brought Yepes up in this thread for a while now, I would love to see him here.

I have a hard time believing that Yepes was the best paid player in France...at any point ;). Even when he was still "good". I would believe that he's the best paid player in PSG: captain, fans love him, always gives it his all. If it does come through, he wouldn't be a bad addition to the team. If Marcos Gonzalez was amongst the better CBs here, then Yepes would be up there, as well. I wish Osorio looked at some Chileans every now and then. All we get is Colombian rumours. :(

He was Metro;) -- at least the best paid defender in France as well as top 3 best paid. That being said, French league doesnt pay what they pay in La Liga or EPL.

PSG wont renew his contract for that kind of money. He's got easily 2-3 solid years left in him.
