Well, they won the Carolina challenge cup(by beating the Battery and Toronto), and their fans think that they have a shot at making the play-offs. On paper, Toronto's 1st year team was probably better than this current Earthquakes team, and we all know how they faired against the teams who had been around longer. The Quakes have no chance this season, I'd be surprised if they finish above RSL to be honest, but try telling their fans that.
According to the California Department of Commerce, regarding "Technology & Innovation," Southern California (including San Diego) is home to 46 percent of high-tech businesses in the state and produces $70 billion or 44.7 percent of California high-tech goods and services. So you certainly have nothing near a monopoly on "high-tech." In fact the number of workers in a sales or marketing roll at high-tech companies in Silicon Valley are very near the number of developers. Most of the core development is now being done in cheaper parts of the world. So I sincerely hope that you aren't lumping them into the mix.. If you want to go tit for tat on Universities I think you would find it pretty much dead even. Face facts, it is simply envy. We have the job market, better weather and we don't have Modesto... and yet we still don't care about you.
Well, if you factor YOURSELF into the equation, yes. Our local IQ does plummet drastically. However, if you were to move to, oh I don't know... ALASKA, then our median IQ would quadruple. So back under whatever rock you crawled out of in your part of the Bay Area. Seriously, I'm saddened to even share the same general area as you.
They did have a pretty kick-ass beer tent and tailgating though, didn't they. Made their little suck-hole of a stadium an okay place to be on a game day (when I made the trip down from the real City). I can't even find edible food on the 3 -5 times a year I go to HDC and don't you feel that Alexi and AEG get some sick thrill having their fans take it in the tuchus year after year. I feel for you guys that go to all the home games. James p.s. Carson isn't Los Angeles.
This is 50+ posts about how much you guys don't care. Your lack of caring is very evident, but would be more so if you kept proclaiming it. That's not a rivalry, it's bitterness from being annihilated year after year. The Ducks are a thousand times more hated. Kings fans are quality people, though. I'm guessing that means very few of them also like the Gals.
Sean who is the hottie on your avatar...i just had to buy a new keyboard due to a man yogurt spill... Ps Krudmonk...lots of Kings fans love the Gals, we had our own section for LA Galaxy on letsgokings till some whiny little b*tch ass Chivas USA fan complained and made the mods change it to a soccer nuetral forum.
Actually it was probably only five. The rest were replies from born-insecure rat soup eatin' jackhole trolls like you and timbers whining about every "misconception" about san ho-say. As soon as one of you losers mentions communism or American Idol I'm sure the post count will spike up past 500.
I believe we were the only two outsiders in this thread. The rest were posts along the lines of "omg i cant beleive they dont like us whatev i dont care cuz like i dont haha lol yay socal!"
LA Diet Squad?......really? You are so lame dude, please go find a tall building and belly flop off of it.
I'm lame, but you incorporate "belly flop" into [what I can only assume is] an insult? I'll bet that's a real zinger on the Disney Channel, but you'll have to try harder.
The SF Bay Area is one of those places that attracts smart people from all over the world. As for Stanford & Cal grads: they tend to stay in the area after college... just another reason why the overall Bay Area populaton is brighter than most. (And then they have smart kids.) LA, of course, attracts people from all over the world, too. Britney Spears, for instance. (Think she'll have smart kids?)
We'll see.... the last two times that Yallop made these kind of preseason trades were in 2001 and 2003. (Remind me how the Quakes did in those seasons?) Don't forget: in 2003, he brought in a group of LA castoffs named Ching, Mullen and Waibel (each of whom have now won more MLS Cup titles than the Galaxy).
You know what they say about ASSuming...right....ASS. How much Disney channel do you watch anyway? Is SanHo big into pedophilia these days?
Yes it should be fun & exciting to catch that circus down south by the way don't get over confident on your predictions either.
