I swear, if bradley and Clark are in the middle together in the empty bucket then Coach Bradley clearly is a fool; no if or buts from the Bradley lovers. After seeing how horrible they are paired together, if Coach Bradley does it again then it is evident that Coach Bradley is trying to make the players fit his crap system rather than create a system that fits the players best. This a crucial error at the International level, and i am upset that Gulati or whoever has yet to confront him on this issue.

So i hope Bradley/Clark is not the middle pairing again.

    in my house
Bradley seems to be only fit for 45 minutes from what I saw watching the Mexico game. But for those 45 minutes he sure is good and gives his all.

I think unfortunately it will be. I don't want to see it either as I don't think they work well together. I'd prefer Edu and Michael, and my first choice is Benny and Michael. With that being said, I don't think BB is going to take Clark from America to Europe to not let him see some minutes. Like I said before, it seems that BB has a little man crush on Rico Clark and is trying to give him chances to prove himself and make a case for being in the starting 11. I think this will be his last chance to make that case and that if them two in the middle don't pan out, Clark will be on the bench from here on out.

iam sure bradley will be there for the olympics

not good enough my ass, wasnt he the one that every one loved?? people were saying he had a better future than adu. now just because hes had a little set back people think he cant make it on a u-23 team?? i dont know why he ist playing for derby but its not because hes not good enough thats for sure.

iam sure he'll be at the olympics as well but he needs to get some first team soccer....somewere.....i hope he comes too mls...

If he can't find a starting spot on mostly any team in Europe, then yes go to MLS, otherwise he needs to keep his ass in Europe.

Well he has the skills, theres no doubt that he's good enough if he wants to be. But clearly there is a problem and a reason he's not playing. Like you said, he's having a set back and he needs to find his form. At this moment in time he's clearly not good enough to play for Derby and he's clearly not good enough to play for the U23s...or else he'd be on the field and not riding the pine.

I'm somewhere in between your real and ideal.

Here's the squad I'd like to see:

    ----------------Howard--------------
    Cherundolo--Onyewu--Bocanegra--Gibbs
    ------------Bradley------Clark---------
    Dempsey-------Donovan----------Lewis
    ----------------Johnson---------------

I agree with your prediction, however.
It really doesn't matter to me who starts as long as Gibbs and DeMerritt get a run out, though. But then again, we'll be gunning for the win. Subs will probably be at a minimum.

that just doesnt make any sense last time he was capped by the senior team he was one of the best players on the field. i think theres something going on with derby, i dont think its because hes not playing well enough. i dont know what it is so these are just hunches. i mean it doesnt make any sense ya know??

The last time he was capped by the national team was against Mexico and didn't look very good at all. Hes on the roster because he happens to play in Europe and frankly I think because Bradley wants him to work out of the funk hes in.

Its becuase he has a big-head. When he plays for Derby hes easily the top or 2nd best player on that pitch, but for some reason right after being the star of the team, the next match he gets relegated to the bench/reserves, so its obvious its becuase of his attitude.

Feilhaber has alot of creativity, I think that his composure and timing, etc., will come eventually. If he can find first-team mintues in Europe then maybe this will happen before the 2010 WC. But he should definetely be at the Olympics. At this point i would sub him in the 70th minute, and let his passing take advantage of tired midfielders.

I hope Cherundolo has an excellent game on Wednesday. I think he has as much, probably more, to offer than any other outside fullbacks I have seen for the U.S. (even though he did get lit up by Robinho last year)

As others have said, Benny's a headcase (at least right now).
Bob Bradley HAMMERS him in this article:
    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=519558&root=us&cc=5901
I've never heard Bradley be so hard on a USMNT player.

Speaking of which... you guys out there hammering the MB/Clark pairing need to take a look at this YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/goalzzz

Michael is playing attacking mid for his club team, and is among the highest scoring midfielders in ALL OF EUROPE! (sorry for shouting)

There is no reason he shouldn't be able to play box-to-box for the US.

BTW, those of you who say he can't play a full 90... His club coach seemed to agre with you until the last month or so. Check out the pattern in him being removed from matches: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/gamelog?id=41952&cc=5901

The good thing is that he's played six full matches in a row since Feb 16th. He's either improved his fitness or learned to do a better job pacing himself.

    here
I don't think he did. He was asked to get up the field & get involved in the attack. Then, he had to get back in a flash to defend his position. Imo, he did a great job of doing both, considering it was Robinho he was defending. I don't think anything came from Robinho; it wasn't Stevie C that was marking him when he dove & won the free kick.

Why the heck is Gibbs included in this call up??? He hasn't played a SINGLE MINUTE of club ball in well over a YEAR??? And he's included in a National Team roster??? Pathetic!
