Like you, i was including White in the lineup even as a starter this time, but he Broke his face last month so i dont think he will be ready,

And i would really like to see 2 footed-speedster Jemal Johnson.(Dont go crazy on me, becuase people who have watched a match of him like i recenlty did, they would agree with me, if he choose US.

If Poland doesnt beat USA, we should just forget about the euro since both Croatia and Germany are better then USA.

I dunno depends on who we play, Beenhakker brought some noobs to test out as well. I think he will mix and match and test them out using 1st or 2nd half, some of them deserve the call up and they should get a chance to play.

The beauty of soccer is that one bad game doesn't mean shit. In the World Cup, France looked like shit against Switzerland and Italy was outplayed by us. Both teams went through to the final and I think Italy and France are better than USA and Switzerland respectively.

Besides...if Greece can win it all...Poland can have a good run too.

It is really funny that none of them besides Lobo has any chance of starting. And Matusiak is not really Wisla player. He is there on loan from his Dutch team and will go back to Holland after season is over.

Any official word who is Bradley taking to Poland? Game is a week away.

I was wondering the same thing. Shouldn't the YA's European teams have been notified already?

I don't buy any of this business about Bradley bargaining with Nowak to get the players he needs. Nowak pretty much reports into Bradley. He's the assistant coach of the full team. What Bradley wants from Nowak he'll get from him. And I expect to see some u-23's and Donovan in Krakow on the 26th. The timing isn't great for either Olympic qualifiers or opening day of the MLS so why bother with having sympathy for either.

Any News yet? We're a week out from this game...and I find nothing on any site. I was guessing a roster would be announced today to allow the U-23 to dominate the news tomorrow through Sunday....

Any chance we see the return of Cory Gibbs to the USMNT? Outside of Cherundolo and Pearce there are very few wing defenders available.

With the U23 going on and MLS getting ready, this match looks nothing more than an afterthought for US Soccer. It'll be a good match for Poland to build its' confidence. They'll actually treat this match as MORE than a friendly, attack us in a very direct manner and pretty much leave us flatfooted in the dust, the way they did in 2002. This will be Poland 2 US 0...if we're lucky.

Pop some corn, get some cold ones out and have some fun swearing at what you see. And hope that for Fullham's sake no one from the U.S. squad gets hurt.

I would probally say Saturday afternoon or Sunday Morning. The players knew who got called up a long time ago, but for some reason it has not been released yet.

If Beasley's goal didn't get called back, we would have have beaten Italy 2-1. To this day I still don't understand why the goal was called back.

Italy beat Australia on a penalty literally 10 seconds from time. It looked to me Grosso dove in the penalty box to get that penalty.

Italy beat Germany because Ballack was lazy during regular time of that semi-final game. Ballack's lack of fire and leadership negatively affected his whole team and cost Germany that game.

France clearly outplayed Italy in the second half and overtime in the Final. If Viera didn't get hurt and if Zidane didn't react foolishly, the outcome would have been in France's favor, and France would have won the Cup.

Italy didn't just have one bad game. They had a lot of bad games and still won the whole thing. They were lucky.

True, but luck is better then skill.

And that Beasley goal was suspicious although Bruce did come out and say it was the right call. My brother always think its the Soccer Mafia. I don't believe that of course but it is quite an interesting conspiracy theory as other countries see the U.S. as inferior when it comes to Soccer, one of very few things where America isn't among the elite.

2002-Hand ball by Germany not called?
    2006-Goal called back aginst Italy?
    2010-???

All the U23 and MLS going on really means for this game is that you probably wont have Donovan, Edu, or Altidore, other than that I dont see why the euro-based guys would take it any less seriously than normal.

Absolutely right. Spector needs to show he belongs on the senior starters as much as the U23s. Boca needs to show his benching at relegation-bound Fulham is without merit. Onyewu needs to show he belongs despite his fouls and lack of speed. Dempsey is on a discouraging streak just now. Johnson's just not burning it up. Convey playing for the reserves. Feilhaber, who knows?
Yes, Donovan is needed. Bradley Jr. is not going to be able to do all the offense and defense on his own. Good thing Clark and even Ching will be along.
