Oh, the reserves. Well, that changes everything. Doing well against a bunch of guys that will end up being Colaship journeymen really proves that he's going to be ready for a bunch of Poles that probably aren't too pleased with losing two straight games to us in Plock and Kaiserslautern.

I wonder if any of their former U-20s will make this squad. They might just have a chip on their shoulder too after getting taken to the woodshed for 6 goals

ok you cant put clark and bradley in the middle together they are to similar. ( as you can seen when they played together vs mexico bradley didn't look to hot because of him having to come back and fix clarks mistakes) but the best combo in the middle is bradley and feilhaber.

instead of convey on that wing i rather see zizzo or nguyen.

omg at left back you have bornstien hahaha that kid get beat all the time. i rather see cory gibbs there when he is fit. but since he is not. so pearce is the next best option we have there. if we can't find a left back move boca to LB and bring in simke or demirt.

and for everyone im new so hi to all!!:)

Hi and welcome to bigsoccer! I realize you are new but read the post first before you trash me, I said in the post that is the lineup I expect Bob Bradley will put out there, not what I think we should do.

he didnt trash you, he just didnt like your lineup (which I know is not your lineup, but the one you except BB to put out).

there is a big difference between disagreeing and trashing.

No not at all don't worry about it, but I wouldn't be surprised if he put a team out there very close to what I said that is who he seems to favor, especially with no players from Olympic Qualifying I assume.

From the midfield forward, this line-up is really difficult to predict. I don't know exactly what USSF was thinking with this friendly. With the u-23s just finishing a tournament, and MLS about to start. What's the objective? To test YA depth? I would think Bradley would want playing experience for our top guys with 3 killer friendles and WCQs coming up, but we'll see.

Howard in goal with Pearce, Boca, Gooch, and Dolo in defense are probably locks. But word is that Nowak is still hoping (campaigning?) for Bradley for the Olympic Qs. If he gets him, the Poland game might be a bargaining chip. As for Nguyen, are you guys that sold on him? How many caps has he had, 1 or 2 last year? I remember seeing him for only scant minutes and not being all that impressed. Is he ready to start against a full strength Euro 16 team? I think I'd move Dempsey back to RM and take another forward, like Ching, to pair with EJ up top. Wolff is also a possibilty. If no Bradley, we might see Lewis or Olsen paired with Clark, and maybe even Mastro instead of Clark. Davis might also get the nod over Convey if the latter isn't playing well.

Fact is we can't field an all YA, no u-23 squad. We'll have to have help from MLS. Also, Bradley COULD call up some of our best u-23s, especially those that already have NAT caps. And if Donovan feels well and wants to go, no one will stop him. I hope we don't go all experimental with this squad, but there's way too many question marks here, so who knows what Bradley is really going to do?

well, olympics have been more or less sorted out. a few surprise omissions, a few injuries since the last post, club situations have changed. a decent bit has been sorted out since we last hit on this. Itll be Europe heavy with all but the MLS essentials. In this case, i think its Donovan, Donovan, and Donovan.

    -----------------------Howad----------------------

    -----------------Onyewu-----Bocanegra------------
    Cherundolo-----------------------------------Pearce

    -----------------------Bradley----------------------
    Donovan--------------Feilhaber---------------Convey

    ----------------Dempsey-------EJ--------------------

Subs: Hahnemann, Demerit, Nguyen, Szetela, White, Lewis, Arguez

60th Szetela-----> Convey (donovan switches left)
    70th Demerit----->Bocanegra
    75th White------->Dempsey
    80th Nguyen------>Donovan

i wanna see Szetela get a good look out right. It appears circa the Switzerland game he can put in those cross things we hear all about. May have a future as a number two there. Or even White, i just wanna see some solid depth out there. We could actually see Lewis ahead of Convey too.

I cant see Feilhaber on this team, theres a reason he got cut from the U23s, isn't playing for his crap club and hasn't played very outstanding in his last several matches for the MNT.

could just have it in for Nowak. He wouldnt be the first, and he wont be the last. Rumor has it Nowak is quite the asshat himself. Feilhaber seems to be on Bob's good side, and may go because of sheer necessity. Unless we are starting Nguyen, Szetela, or *shudders* Clark. Dont want to see the Bradley-Clark fiasco again....that was bad. We were obliterated against Mexico with that pairing. When Feilhaber came on, it got all better nice quick and in a hurry and reminded the big soccer masses that when put in a situation to succeed, and not thrown out of position like he ws against Sweden, Switzerland, and South Africa, he is indeed useful. Clark may come on this thing, but in reality he is no more than Michael bradley's number two. A good player and quality depth, but Little Bradley will always be ahead, you need a compliment, not the exact same type of player.

we just dont know the circumstances, unless the first-handers actually there could clear it up i know a few of them are wondering around here, would be much appreciated.

Can any of the Poland fans tell us a little more. Such as is this a full strength squad or not, if not how close and who are the players to watch?

Feilhaber and Convey weren't on their respective club's benches in the most recent contests. Guess it all depends on whether or not BB wants to throw them a bone.

    Donovan injured.

Expect to see a lot of the Euro guys:

    Arguez
    Demerit
    Simek
    Spector
    Goodson
    Jaqua
    Szetela

Where do postyers come up with this?

I just found out, I was about to post this as well. These are some awesome call ups.

I am really happy that Leo called up
    Dawid Janczyk
    Lukasz Pisczek
    Pawel Brozek

Those kids are our Future strikers, and I want to see them do well. I know Brozek got a chance before but he blew it, he needs to apply himself and cross over to the regular NT squad. He's got talent he's young and he scores a
ton of goals for Wisla Krakow. It's funny how we got 5 Wisla Krakow players who play for our National Team.

This is good for the younger kids, they will get to train with our A squad and this is important because we are givng them something to shoot for, this will get them motivated.

These are the call ups,now Leo has to decide who starts and who gets to warm the bench.

This is A team squad, with some young players in there. The most interesting call up is Dawid Janczyk, who you should know seeing how he scored against you guys in U-20 World Cup when we lost 6-1  . Really I think he is only called up for a cap. Players I think is to watch out would be Smolarek, Błaszczykowski "Kuba", and Krynowek.

For me I'm interested in seeing is Gargula, Matusiak, Zurawski, and I guess Janczyk. I mostly point out in our strikers because thats what we need right now, and I'm interested to see how Zurawski will do since he changed his club to play, Matusiak same reason, and Gargula how he would do against tougher opposition seeing how his been impressive against minor teams. Janczyk simply because his the future and would be interesting to see how well he will do in senor level.

I wish I knew where people come up with that. Bradley was beaten defensively way more than Clark was, but since Bradley is the flava of the month, Clark will always take the brunt of the criticism regardless of the reality of the particular game.

Anyway, you would seem to be right. I expect there to be a lot of curious Euro call-ups. The US team has some tough injuries which become even worse when you look at the situation with the Olympic team taking some players away that might have otherwise played in the Poland game. It could get ugly.

It's funny to see Wisla absorbing all the NT players.

    - Darusz Dudka
    - Wojciech Lobodzinski
    - Radoslaw Matusiak
    - Pawel Brozek
    - Adam Kokoszka

    I wanna see

    - Jacek Krzynowek
    - Lukasz Gargula

Join Wisla as well, this has been a rumor for a while I hope it goes through.

Wisla has a pretty sick line up, if they acquire Krzynowek, Gargula and convince some of the other players to come back that would be pretty amazing.

    As for these:
    Marcin Wasilewski
    Paweł Golański
    Grzegorz Bronowicki
    Arkadiusz Radomski

They need to come back to Polish League, were gona have good infustructure
so we can support great players that will raise the level of our league.
Of course no offence to Belgium, Austria, Serbia and Romania but our League is miles beyond theirs. And it pains me to see good Polish Players leave our League, thank GOD for Euro 2012 and all the infustructure we are building.

i agree we are going to see surprises, but just perhaps an accidental inclusion is Simek, he's been injured since the first week of December, and he literally just got back into regular practice at wednesday this week. A celebratory event for me, but theres no way he's pulled from Wednesday given what is going on there. I agree he would help and especially given the way some of these other "options" at right back are doing (Moor, Hill, Wynne), Simek is looking even more attractive as a choice, but lets get him back to health.

there will be surprises though, and i think there will be at least one very, very surprising name starting in this thing, and i think itll be at right midfield. I still think Holden and Rogers are legit options down the line, but what of Europe, i doubt theyre coming along. Your starting options are seriously Szetela and White, i think one of them will be starting this game and i am very interesting to see what its about. I think one of them can emerge as a number two at the position. I might tip Szetela due to the Polish connection. I think the key newcomers will be Szetela, White, and Nguyen in particular on this thing.
