The first 30 mintues is going to be hell, I hope Babel and Kuyt are ready to run their socks off because there will be a lot of full backs attacking and them tracking back with be very important.

I don't think the line-up is going to be much of a issue because it will be similar if not the same that beat them the 1st leg.

I am sooooooo nerves for this game, it will be hell trying to watch it.

I had a question, is Crouch possibly leaving after this season? There's a rumor we're interested, sounds funny I know.

It should be a cracker, all right. We can do it. i figure kuyt will be in there becouse his running and tracking back will be very valuable...in form, the lads not all that bad, in fact i would venture to say for 43 mins of the first half against the barcodes i felt like we missed him. One of those you dont know what you got till its gone kinda things. Like lb said, he's set up more than a handfull of chances recently. We all know rafa likes a good defensive striker out there at all times. :)

Figure pretty much the same line-up, just not sure if lucas or alonso will get the nod. Maybe xabi based on his big game experience. Finnan-still hurt? and has risse played well enough to reclaim his spot from fabio (doubtfull). The sami or the skirt question is a good one also, samis less likely to make a mistake and less able to recover from one. toss-up.

    Thanks mate.

I don't know about Crouchie. I wouldn't be surprised if he went, but I have mixed feelings on wanting him to go.

I think he's really good, although I've heard mixed reactions from people who follow the prem. more than me. I wouldn't let go of him, at least not to a rival.

We never do anything easy, so I fully expect them to score 1 in the first half, and then our boys making us endure about 40 heart-stopping moments before putting it away late.

What I wouldn't give for an early away goal...

Exactly- when is it the Liverpool way to do anything easily! :D

We have to look to score, not sit on two goals. Remember they need only two goals to extend the game, and they do have the ability to do that.

If we score one, then we can sit and i think we'd be good enough to stop 4. ;)

Seems to be a lack of interest on the inter board, they did take a bit of stick from other Eye-Tee fans. Perhaps they're just waiting for the day.

so, Inter is all excited, celebrating their centennial

    that's very nice and all

but, borrowing from an old college song

Liverpool was Liverpool when Inter was a pup

Liverpool is Liverpool and Inter's all f***ed up

    finish it off for Shanks

Agree. Whenever Pennant is on the ball he looks dangerous - he is dangerous. He tracks back just as much and he is much better suited than Kuyt. Kuyt looks like losing the ball most times - in fact, he does lose the ball most times. Take out the goal in the first leg and he was pitiful.

The fact is if you don't lose the ball (as Kuyt keeps doing) you don't have to run after it like a dog either.

    Never happen........But

Just incase is does come down to heart attack time, I'm going to suggest that those like me who have to Tivo/DVR it lock in the hour after time allotted to the match. So you won't be looking at some "Monster Truck Rally" or "Japanese Bare Handed tree Chopping" when the program ends and leaves you hanging.

Greatest advice in this forum's history...

As for the match, Inter is reeling domestically. Either they play great with their backs to the wall, or they circle the drain in spectacular 2-0 fashion (4-0 aggregate).

Masch will play, boys. He has to play. So does Kuyt.

I look for us to beat them on the counterattack.

i'll join the throng pushing for kuyt over pennant. I do think he tracks back better, and i imagine things will get quite chippy during the course of play... if that's the case, i'd rather have kuyt's cool head than pennant's hot one... remember the porto game? the last thing we need is a sending off...

i think rafa sticks with skrtel and hyypia at center, and carra at right back:

    carra... skrtel... hyypia... fabio
    masch... xabi...
    kuyt... SG... babel
    torres...

i'm looking for babel or torres to score on the counter... we advance on a 1-1 draw... hopefully, then, we'll draw chelsea in the next round... we know we can beat them in the CL, right? i think we've done it before... (wink)

There is some whispering that cara will play rb with finnan out, and Rafa says xabis out due to having a baby. hmm. ok, so i suppose we pencil in lucas then.

Yes, a fluke goal at the 4 min mark would make me pretty happy :D Backspin boys! Backspin! Works a treat lately.

rafa doesn't seem happy with Xabi.
