I still love the light blue and gold combo. Not only does it stand out, with so many teams having navy and other dark colors, but I shows the Philadelphia pride, and not snagging eagles green. I think it would be silly to cause an association to another Philadelphia team color wise. The Soul has light blue, but we can just slap them around like the red headed step child they are. ;) And I always like Philadelphia FC, but would that be like the NY redbulls actually being in Jersey, since the team will actually be in Chester? Just a thought, please don't hurt me!

Definately not the case, first it is hard to get a location in the actual city, plus it would take another 5 years to do just because of all the government red tape and building permits needed...Chester is right outside of Philly so its not that big of a deal, on the other hand I find it completely ridiculous to have a team with a city's/state's name in it when it is located in another state. I dont care how close the stadium is to the state it is not in the state so dont call it that...whats even more ridiculous is that they are building their new stadium also in New Jersey. Idk I just had to rant a little.

Also the maroon/burgandy and gold is really growing on me, looks very official, good colors that no other team has together, and very distinctive. I still think using the Celtic style jersey would look best wth these colors (Dallas is the only team with hoops), we just need to get the right shade now...

I think it would work to have kits like this...

Slowly but surely, Philly fans are selling out to the dark colors. Will by the time 2010 gets here, the colors be Black and Maroon, with Black being the dominent color???? Sure only Colorado has Maroon, but nobody has your flag colors. Maybe Seattle will be the originals. Forever and only Orange!

Guess I don't mind the light blue and gold. Maybe as an alternate kit, we look at black and gold? Or, how about black and silver....?

For a name idea I haven't seen yet (doesn't mean it wasn't already suggested), how about something closely related to Ben Franklin like Philadelphia Lightning or Electric or Shock  ...something like that.

The Keystone badge is cool even though us Jersey folks aren't keystoners...but hey, I am just glad we have our team!!:)

Hm, that's true. But, that's southern California, kinda LA-ish which is not Philly. Also isn't Maroon a Redskin color???

IMHO go for the Celta Vigo/ManCity look... ;) You CAN have a home sky... and road gold! There.

Oh, and to all the doubters out there, the real reason we don't want to give up the city flag colors is because we won't be able to sing one of our favorite songs anymore...no other colors rhyme with "two" :D

I don't like the shorts in these kits, make the player look like they soiled themselves.

Ah, the curse of trying to show where the vents are in the jerseys and shorts. It's still going to be solid color, I'm sure of it.
