well in training they are up against the likes of pato and kaka... rumor has it that pato had a choice of either playing football or doing the 100 meter sprint professionally...

also, there are some fast players in serie a as well... but it would be a stretch to say that we "handled" them this year, considering how bad we are in the league...

but i could see how he would pose a threat especially if brought on during the later stages of the game...

Theo pwnt your geezers the first leg, its Adebayors fault were not 1-0 up. I have the utmost confidence he could do it again. Pato is a little vagina, he diddnt look fast at all to me.

Im gonna go with those rumors about Pato being just that, rumors. He didnt look that fast to me, at least no faster then any other player on the pitch. Whether he didnt want to show it or not is no difference to me. As well Kaka is not that fast either. He isnt known for running at people with pace ala Chrissy style. Anyhow, i think this is more of a product of the overall style of the Serie A. You have infinite more time on the ball then say in the Prem.

I'm going with 2 - 0 to the Arsenal! And I'll be wearing my Bergkamp jersey for luck! We need to get back into the groove. This could start the ball rolling. Make it through this one, get Rosicky, RvP & King Kolo back to boost the remainder of the season!

    Come on Arsenal!!

Denilson is going to be in the squad right? I would put him in over diaby all day. He is certainly more useful.

    Probably not gonna happen though.

Whats with all the Pato Hate? He looks to be a good honest player. I admit I haven't seen more than 2.5 games of him but he is good and doesn't seem to play dirty or dive much.

Did u watch the first leg????

I realize that RVP will be off the pace but bringing him in with like 15minutes to go couldn't hurt us.

Kaka is deceptively quick and it is his turn of pace that causes the most problems.

I think the players know the importance of this match. Lose, and it will be very hard to win anything this year. Win (draw with goal), and the confidence will be there to compete in two competitions.

I might be the minority, but i thought we played extremly well in the first leg. I could not think of one player who had an off day. Even Jens and Senderos were solid. The only thing that we have to add to that performance is patience. Milan will be much better in this return leg, and we can't rush to get a goal. We have to play our regular game, and change anything only if Milan has scored.

I think that we will win this game 2-1. We will suprise everyone and strike early in the second half, similar to the Madrid game a couple seasons ago. Milan will equalize in the 70th off a deflected goal. They will be desperate in the last 5 minutes of the game to get a second, and we will simply catch them on the break to send us into the Quarter-Finals with huge amounts of Confidence after a win at the San Siro.

While Theo's participation is uncertain, I do not want to see Diaby in his place. Theo's last 10 minutes gave Milan some hell, and I would love to see him and RvP hook up near the end of the game. Diaby did not show any ambition on Saturday and he should be benched for it.

Either way, i think we can pull this one off. 2-1 to the gunners my friends.

Fabregas and Adebayor to score, with Theo supplying one of the goals with a LOW cut back cross!

Why the optimism? Cause we are the Arsenal and the lads know what happend last year; and this year we can be champions. Our true starting XI is almost, just almost back. This win is very, very important for the growth of our squad.

Wouldn't mind seeing Theo start. Push them to maintain a fast/heavy pace and Milan's defenders will tire. We saw evidence of that in the last fixture.

I see this as a very gutty, nerve wracking, hair-pulling affair. Still, the boys can still pull it out 2-1.

    GO ON YOU GUNNERS!

At this point I am not very hopeful of wining this competition. Getting past Milan is doable but there will be some very tough teams left in the competition and I am not sure we have the depth and stamina to seriously contend in this competition while trying to win the league. So this match is more important for us to win to provide a moral boost that the team really needs to stay at the top of the EPL. We have to find a way to win cause to get the team out of the funk they are in now to start playing with more confidence again in the league. At this point even next Sunday's trip to Wigan looks a bit tricky

    wait... Kaka isnt fast?

did u not see him run past Messi with the ball on his feet in 2006 at Emirates?

    and Pato isnt fast either?

some folks need to just stick to Arsenal related stuff...

    prepare for defeat, accept victory.

    or

    prepare for victory, accept defeat.

i have a bad feeling about this, i don't want the gut wrenching, horrible, disgusting, sickening feeling that i suffered for the rest of the CL games after the PSV game, so im preparing for defeat, i'll accept that we were beaten by a top class team, of great players.

^^- thats what my head says,

    my heart says - milan 0 - arsenal 1

yeah pato is unbelievably fast, and anyone who thinks otherwise just hasnt seen him.

a play that sticks out for me from the first leg is when pato beat sagna to the ball when sagna had the clear advantage to get their first. and sagna is no slouch himself

I don't remember that play. I remember him pushing Sagna down from behind, then later kicking him in the ankle after getting his pocket picked. He's a little shit.

You forgot the split second when he tried to kill Adebayor's togolese mother with a guided missile.

Arsenal has played some of the best football I've seen this season, so the team has my respect and here's to a great game tomorrow, my best wishes and let's hope nobody gets injured.

Are you talking about the guided missile from Pato that did Toure's knee?

He definitely has a hard shot.
