This was the most recent medical report RM had on their site:

Metzelder: Left plantar fasciitis operated on 13/02/08. Rehab and phyiostherapy.

Heinze: Torn left thigh muscle. Medical treatment and physiotherapy. Gym and field work.

Pepe: Torn right soleus muscle. Medical treatment and physiotherapy. Gym and pool work.

Saviola: Sprained left knee and ankle. Medical treatment and physiotherapy. Gym and field work.

Robinho: Torn abdominal muscle. Medical treatment and physiotherapy.

Sneijder: Partially fractured left rib cage. Medical treatment and rest.

You can probably exclude Hienze from the list being as he's been training with the team for a few days now. They haven't posted anything on any other players having knocks from last nights games, though.

I think Heinze should be ready for the Roma game, right?

How long does Metzelder need to rest after his operation? Are we still expecting to see him this season?

We're doing really well despite the forever Pepe, Heinze and Metzelder injuries.

That's rather bad, even though Heinze should start in that position.

    Where's Torres?

    Saviola
Javier Saviola has finally recovered from the double injury he suffered from since January. The Argentine has been gradually rejoining the team throughout the week and may be a surprise inclusion on the squad list for the Real Madrid-Getafe fixture.

    Diarra and Guti
The good news today was the return of Mahamadou Diarra to the main group. The Malian had been niggled since the match in Rome, but seemed to be totally recovered today. On the other hand, José Mª Gutiérrez 'Guti' trained in the gym with the injured Metzelder, Marcelo and Sneijder.

Pepe and Robinho on the pitch again
Pepe and Robinho seem to be nearing complete recovery. Both Brazilians and Míchel Salgado jogged and did stretching exercises with recovery expert José Luis San Martín.

The team will return to Valdebebas on Saturday to put the finishing touches to the strategy it will use against Getafe at the Bernabéu on Sunday.

    NEXT TRAINING:
    - Saturday 23 February @ 11 am CET. Real Madrid City.
    ----

Except for Sneijder and Metzelder we are close to having the entire squad ready again.

Anyone have an expected date for Sneijder to return? I am really anxious to see a midfield consisting of Robinho-Gago-Sneijder-Robben. Alot of people comment on how they don't really know what role Sneijder plays, but I think if we stick in in the middle with Gago, he has the quality to help going forward, but isn't afraid to run for the team and work back with Gago. Robinho and Robben will be a handful for anyone.

Any chance he could be back for Roma?

Sneijder is key in counter attacking. His shooting is exceptional from the midfield. Something that has been hurting us the past few games because our other starting midfielders (Baptista may be an exception) cant shoot. His freekicks are missed..

even If we dont know what Sneijder does, he does alot. Those little things are important. lol.

not sure if he'll be back for Roma but I fkin hope so.

If there are any updates on RVN, Guti, Robben, Sneijder, or any new developments please post.

For Roma we need RVN or Robben and Guti or Sneijder.

RVN and Robben will most likely be out on the Roma game, but I have no idea about how long Guti and Sneijder are out. I suspect Sneijder won't be back in time for Wedsnesday. He broke a rib didn't he? I haven't heard of him returning to training yet either so very doubtful.

Why o why did we buy that glass man? And why for such a ridiculous amount?

Ribéry is playing the stars from the sky in Munich, not just to be nagging, but I still think this was a dumb ass deciscion by Mijatovic, a ten year old would have better thought this through...

Yeah I just saw the image, I stay with my point that I rather had Ribéry and that we overpaid this injurie guy.

But with this tackle, man of glass or man of steal, you couldn't do nothing about it. So although I don't really like Robben, I feel for the guy, 'cause it has to be terrible to be in rehab that much, and again...

Ribery was unproven, same age and didn't show this much class in his game until he went to Bayern.

PS:Bundesligua is famous for one on ones so he is in his heaven.
I love the guy so i would have liked to have him but anyway it wasn't Pedja s fault.Bayern matched the money asked by Diouf(Marseille's GM)and had sent Sagnol to convince him,a late zidane-lead bid to convince him was too late as the bid had been accepted and Frank was already 90% in Munich.

Yeah I know, but he hadn't proven anything in a big competition, but already was a talent in the national team and in Marseille.

And that's the problem, you have to take those calculated gambles sometimes, because if you want a world class player that already has proven everything or at least a lot, you'll end up with the Ronaldo's, Cesc's and Kaka's who are just too expensive.

Nahhh, we're just waiting to sign Christiano Ronaldo next season that's why we didn't buy Ribery ;):p.

Anyhows... I think we need a central midfielder who can run at defenders ala Kaka. Someone to make defenders shit in their pants. We already have the wing play to do that (though I would still tike to see a natural RightMid). Granero is good but he can't dribble past defenders same as the collection of AM's we have: Guti, Sneijder & Baptista (he's more like run over a defender type of player :D)
