Its majestically flawless. I'm going to have my GF call in and tell the bad news, and IF theres a need for a doctor, my GF has a friend who is a nurse.

This game is the most important game for Real Madrid since winning vs. Mallorca to win the league last year. We absolutely have to get to the final 8 of the Champions' League to fall out at the round of 16 for the fourth year in a row would be disastrous.

haha, oh man poor cicinho...i rather liked him while he was here. hard worker, gave it his all...but sad to say robinho and company are going to exploit the hell out of him and roma's right flank...tsk tsk.

Well the first joke that came to mind was something sexy involving Achilles' gf, her nurse friend, and an examination, but I thought better of it. :D

    heel joke?

Robinho will dominate that is a given.

But, Mancini poses their biggest threat to us (due to no S.Ramos).
    Which leaves the question, ..................

    Torres or Salgado?

I would say Salgado, but he's coming off an injury, so Torres it is.

Either way I think we should be okay w/ Pepe there to help.

Right after the first leg ended I was confident that Real were going though, now with all the injuries and the shaky play of late I'm not as confident. I still think Madrid are better than Roma but I am really worried that Roma will put an early goal in and do us in. But I'm going to stay positive because the team is determined and at home so I am hoping they can pull this out..although I will be on pins and needles during the game.

We didn't have Pepe and Robinho then.

    We have them now.

I'd go with Achilles 1st formation. Torres is bad, Salgado is worse. As for Ruud, he had been playing bad lately because of his injury, and he wants to do it again !

I predict 3-1. Raúl (Minute 7, he likes that in UCL), Robinho x2 (one in OT) and Totti.

Kyros Vassaras is the referee for the game in Madrid. He is really crap, and i hope it's to our advantage, cause in my opinion, he's bound to get something wrong.

Salgado is just to worse to be true, the guy has to leave the squad as quickly as possible(off course with a huge thanks for all he ha's done), but everytime he plays he gets overrun in speed.

I'm going to watch this game in the Bernabéu by the way, vere, very excited!

Marca has us as playing one of two ways:

    Casillas

    Torres - Pepe - Canna - Heinze

    Gago - Diarra

    Drenthe - Guti - Robinho

    Raul

With Robinho and Drenthe playing more forward, so essentially a 4-3-3.

    or,

    Same back 5

    Gago

    Drenthe - Guti - Robinho

    Baptista - Raul

Personally I would be more inclined to give someone like Soldado a shot, just because he is used to being the target man up front, and Baptista hasn't had the best of times when supposedly playing as our #9.

i would definatly go for the first option mentioned above...we can definatly score against this roma side...it just a matter of defending and trying to keep the clean sheet....if we can get an early goal then we should be good to win it..i just think the gago diarra duo can helpdefending and have raul as the only foward....and give guti the freedom to go up and put some though balls to robinho, drenthe and raul.

I'd also prefer the first formation. As well as Gago is playing, I'd prefer having Diarra helping him out with Totti and Perrotta.

The thing is Raul will then be very isolated up top....And he deosn't really hold the ball as well as Ruud does. Robben and Drenthe(if he plays) really need to step up in this game.

Big game tomorrow. Not sure what to expect to tell the truth. We can all assume that Real will push for at least a goal, but not sure how Roma will approach this match. Our coach has stated that Roma will push for goals as well. I don' think that is entirely true , as Roma can not afford to get caught on the counter attack, bc RM pass the ball around beautifully. This game can go either way...Real are likely without Robben and RVN, but having Robinho back will be great on the flank.

No quotes from me because its worth reading the opinions.

    *Phew*

My boss is away Wednesday, so I can just watch it from my desk and save my sickdays and appointments for when Real climbs out of their little hole and goes on.

Forza_Totti: Does Roma have any notable injuries/suspensions?
