Fred Matthes from DC United announced last night to the group that we would be hearing an announcement about the stadium in the next few weeks. So keep you eyes on the press for the announcement.

I'm awake. Went pretty hard, ended up getting breakfast at Plato's Diner in College Park at 4AM with Mad Saxon and Elvis. I wake up to find an empty pizza box (damn vultures didn't leave me any!), and now I'm ordering some fantastic Chinese hangover food!

I'll put the pics I got on myspace now.

The four of us up from Richmond are safe at home again and none the worse for wear (well not too bad). Great party! Thanks to the elders for some offseason fun. Mmmmm... nap.

I asked Fred how ticket sales were going.

He said that last year's sales were record-breaking -- and that this year's sales are ahead of last year's pace! :p

Now, if Gallardo is the real deal, we may have a trifecta!

For the small amount of time I was there (and coherent), I had a nice time, thanks to those I met, and I hope to meet more of you as the season unfolds.

Ok, some final numbers for you locos. Looks like we were at the 300 mark for attendance, close to 10 kegs killed plus the bottled beer and assorted liquor.

RFD's should be happy. I know they started out slow at first but then picked it up. Next time we'll ask for a satellite cash bar for bottled beer and maybe a keg or two.

Maybe we should take this "tailgate warm up" as a hint we'll have to procure more frosty adult beverages for games!!!

And I'm sure the staff at RFD thought we were nuts when we starting cheering and singing! :D

Sorry I missed the blast. U-haul can't reservations straight in NC. Had a truck reserved for Greenville. Get called driving down Friday that I had to pick it up in Goldsboro--40 miles away at 9 AM on Saturday. Plus, more stuff in the house. Hillz and I were dead at 6:30 PM, but out of the house. We drove back this morning.

Sounds like we missed a great bash. We won't be missing the tailgates!!!

Besides we are out of hicksville, NC. That is a reward unto itself.

    See ya on the 18th!!!

Great to see everyone!! My goal this year is to put real names and faces to all the Big Soccer names. I know, it would be easier to just drink. :D

I still haven't even put real names to real faces!

It was great to see everyone...even if I don't know all of your names. Many thanks to our hard at work directors!

    :)
