I can finally talk about this after crying for hours, but in the ultimate embarassment in my 14th season I've gone out of the cup in rd1!

my III.6 riverhawks were like the 5th or 6th highest USA team to lose, but I think I'm the highest non-bot/farm team.

what a disaster, I had a HS edge of 170-107 but no excuses. We're "concentrating on the league" as they say....ugh.

Costs me probably 1.5M (based on my 9 rd run last yr) and the pain of begging for friendlies all season.

Well, let me break it down like this. Midfield is still king. How much of that HS is his midfield. Then does he have the attack to finish his chances. Last does he have defense to keep your goals out.

My 235 average HS is because of Multiskilled players. Both of my wingbacks have very high defending and winger. My wings have very high Winger and PM as well as solid passing. MY two main IMs are at Supernat and Mythical with Formid passing.

I think the main point you make is that he is pulling 200HS with a low wage rate

It's been up and down the past few days. They've been switching some coding from one code type to another from my understanding. It's taking a while. They have a news event about it that you can read when it comes back up.

Anyone notice the new match engine is a little red card heavy? I've had 3 guys sent off in the 3 games so far. 2 straight reds for fighting as well. A little strange.

Unless both players are on the same team and your team name is Newcastle.

From the department of fun MCM/LCM, I just got a shade under $3,000 of LCM for a guy I owned for four days over a year ago.

I didn't even remember him, but his match history shows that I used him as an emergency CD in a game, spending something like $100k for the rental.

    New one to me:
A surprising free kick routine in the 74:th minute nearly resulted in another goal for the visitors, but the ball went just a little wide, leaving the strikers offside.

I assume this is for a missed SE.

i broke 250 for the first time tonight in a derby cup match. the new game engine seems to like my squad more than the old engine.

    FK's and PK's are normal chance. CK's are SE's

Chalk that one up to a bad SP specialist or a bad-ass GK. :p

I had filled my 33k+ stadium the last 4 or 5 league games in VI. Since I promoted to V with bigger teams I went ahead and upgraded my stadium to 38k. Even though I have around 200 extra supporters here my attendances so far:

    cup: 19.7k
    first league match: 17.6k

    wtf?

    edit: nice weather for both

I lost my season opener to a rival and lost my round 2 cup match. But, I didn't expect them to be so fickle, so fast.
