won my qualifier to stay in III.6 4-3, after one of my IMs got a red card in the 60th. Very dangerous. Anyone else in dIII this season??

Missed out by 1 point of taking first. Would have autopromoted. Looking at my series for this coming season I should be on my way up to III finally.

I promoted, after winning a qualifier, to III.4.

It was ranked 15 out of 16 last season, but looks to have more powerful teams than mine promoting up. Will be a struggle to stay up for the 'Kat.

It's going to be a long season.

My fans expect to win it all this season, despite my 45 hatstats average from last season.

My fans want me to win it all, too, and they're right. The demotee to my league is a new owner, so I have exactly one team to beat. If I can't beat them twice, I am in big trouble, especially since I can PIC nearly every other match in the league. I had better sweep and auto-promote.

Check my awesome youth pull. woot! remember when we used to have youth pull threads? those were the days. i'm going to change training to try and get this kid his shot at the u-20's. hattrick xray puts him at 78% of the way to excellent.

if bookies ever offer bets on hattrick down time, always take the over! God bless the HT swegians and their technical know how. Downtime as going to be "about 20 minutes" and here we are 2 hours and 20 minutes later and still not back up!

God bless dotnet and ms-sql. Don't the swegians know about LAMP???

Just signed up!!! I play managerzone, not sure if this is better but it seems more popular. Says I need to wait a week for a team so I'm bumbed about the downtime, I hope its worth it. Any tips for the new guy once I get my team?

While you're waiting to get your team, read the rules, then read them again. That's the best advice I've ever been given.

    1. don't expand your stadium.
    2. hire a coach who is a passable trainer with poor leadership.
    3. read the rules like kuhnscoot said, and try reading some newbie guides.
    4. when you get your team, join the 'questions' conference. read the threads there and post any questions you like. it's really a 'newbie' conference although they don't call it such anymore.

So I got my team today woohoo!!!!!

Read the rules, big read lol, this game is much more complex than manager zone.

I did hire a keeper coach, 3 asst, and a spokesman, already had a coach.
I did all of the challenges and have 87,000. I also set training for defense at 100% int, and the stamina was 5%(not sure what that is, ill look through the rules again)

If you're going to train defense, make sure to play a 5-4-1 or a 5-3-2 to maximize training.

So check this out: here is my round 2 cup opponents arena......Tuga Fury Arena ** (226966)

This guy is in DIV and has a 75k arena:eek: On the positive side, I will get craploads of money for an away cup match.

On the other side I am worried about him pulling a massive cup run. I checked his team and he only pulls 60 HS:confused:

    Team is in DIV.598

Unless he buys a shipload of players in the next week, you need not worry, he has crap team, isn't hiding anything and looks to be a GK trainer. Who knows what the plans a team like that has, but what ever it is, he isnt doing it this season!

Interesting experiment in my league to watch this season. Team coming up with me from 5 has sold and bought an entire new team. 10 new players at combined cost of 20 million, (plus one guy he has trained from his youth team, to 95k tsi)

He has gone big on multi-skilled players with low wages, He has spent 2.5 million on a forward, 7 stars, with wages of 4k ( including 20% bonus). He plays 3 up front, 8 million spent on all 3, and the combined wages for the 3 are 16k

So he has spent 20 million, all low wages, and now has a squad with 570,000 TSI but his wages are around 185k a week. Will it work? his full strength team in the cup yesterday got 203 hatstats. so, 20 mill for 203 hatstats? He has two big players in crappy form, but it will be interesting to see if this tactic works. I am a big believer in hatstats becoming less and less meaningful, and those who's goal is 300 hatstats or what ever are going in the wrong direction. But apart from saving huge on wages, ( i estimate he'll clear close to 2 million in profit over the season) , will he win games???

    What series are you in?

off the bat i would say he has the chance to finish 6th in an easy DIV league. I have been in DIV twice now. I will be averaging around 240HS this season and i am hoping to get 6th place:eek:

That's a difficult IV series. I am getting around 260's regularly, and I'm going to be battling for first.

But you are basing that on pure hatstats though, and i think we will find this year that bigger hatstats no longer means better team
