    Benny to RBNY? Maybe.

They got rid of Kovalenko to make room for him?

Not very likely but it would be very interesting.

I don't know how they would do it, though, considering the money Benny supposedly wants:

Wow, for a moment there I thought you were talking about Olsen but realized you meant Feilhaber. That is more realistic but unlikely.

Has there been interest from any MLS teams concerning Rogerio Ceni coming to play in the States?

In the latest edition of Champions, the Champions League magazine, he is quoted in an article as saying, "I'd like to live in the United States, perhaps play my last season there so my name can be more known around the world."

While I don't know how much MLS will help him get his name known around the world , I would definitely like to see him play here (for a reasonable salary--not DP stuff), even if he is already 35 or so (hopefully he could be acquired for more than just his last season, otherwise, what's the point?). Surely there are a few teams in need of a good GK (and a good free-kick taker).

Joao Pinto has reportedly terminated his contract with SC Braga, and according to sources the Portuguese international will sign with Toronto FC on Monday.

The 36-year-old Pinto was in Toronto as late as Thursday for a training session, but issues with Braga over the training schedule and a gap in contract expectations ended the session early. Pinto currently makes around 350,000 Euros ($500,000 US) and the MLS maximum for non-designated players is $325,000 US.

Benny isn't even worth league max. Has he really shown that much other than the great goal against Mexico? If he wants 300-400k, is it really worth it? Is he that much better than Toja or Shalrie Joseph or DeRosario etc....I wouldn't put him in the top tier of midfielders in MLS.

Not a rumor anymore. He was on Glenn Davis' show tonight and said he'll be having a press conference on Friday where they'll officially cross the Ts and dot the Is. Also, Oliver Luck will have a press conference tomorrow, supposedly about the change in ownership.

    50/50 split sounds good.

I don't doubt that he wants to play in NE, but I don't think he was unhappy here. I think you're making giant leaps in assuming because he's irish and mentioned wanting to play in NE that he doesn't want to play for any other team but the Revs.

Scroll to the 6:30 mark and he says he wants to be in Toronto this year. Next time you troll on this board come correct.

on yahoo sports there is an article saying that a Scottish Priemier League forward playing for Gretna named Kenny Deuchar who is also a practicing doctor, has been offered a contract by RSL and he wants to come to MLS.He scored two goals against Rangers recently and has six goals for the season.

the article goes on to say that he wants to play in MLS and practice medicine.

    very interesting.........

 I can remember countless athletes saying how they "want to be *insert city name here,*" and then just that quickly they demand a trade or sign elsewhere. Seriously, don't believe the hype when a professional athlete is spewing his PR nonsense. Pro Athletes lie as much as lawyers and senators. You believing that steaming pile of BS that he said for a bunch of friggin TFC fans, is a lot dumber than JMMUSA's assertion that he doesn't want to be there, as ROB has also said a few times since he joined the mighty TFC.

On loan at Northampton Town (League One) he only scored 3 goals in 17 appearances.

I have to say, I don't think this is the guy that is going to change RSL's fortunes. I'm sure he'll bang in 7-8 goals but I don't think he would be anything special.
