Iona midfielder has signed with Trento Calcio in the Serie D. Despite his very Italian name, he appears to be a 'Merican from Long Island.
He's a 1986. Also, his college bio says: ...Played for Italian Seria A-team Chievo Verona soccer club Link: http://www.icgaels.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=64287&SPID=7095&DB_OEM_ID=14900&ATCLID=822198
holy crap i know this guy. cant believe he turned pro i mean hes good and all, but damn didnt think he had that in him.
Ok, question that has nothing to do with this guy. Since you follow Italian soccer, why the hell does Luca Toni "shake his hear" whenever he scores a goal? I thought the thumb-sucking goal celebration was stupid but this one takes the cake
He said a friend told him to do it once and he liked it and it just stuck ever since. But the true explanation of it has so many rumored possibilities, it's never been confirmed. Some say it's supposed to mean he's going nuts or something like that. another hypothesis is that it means he is saying: "Look what I just did."
Yeah, supposedly, from what I've read, its supposed to be "Can you get your head around what I just did?" but basically its just something that stuck. They guy scores a lot of goals.
I see you list Fiorentina as one of your favorite clubs. We just got a new Fiorentina board in the Italy forum. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=1288
I have seen Pasquale play. He is a very smart player who never gets himself into trouble. Always plays 1 touch. I would not be suprised to see him move up into a higher division quickly. p.s. I would love to see a college team play a Serie D team. There is no comparison. College soccer is the same as highschool soccer, only the kids are bigger and faster. There is absolutly no skill involved. An NFL player would probably be the best player in college soccer because he tackles and runs fast.
Have you actually seen a Serie D match? I've seen a Serie C match and it wasn't exactly class playing. I would imagine Serie D would be similar to college soccer.
ive played at Indiana university for 3 years and then got injured....and my team won the NCAA championship a year after i stoped....so i think i know something about Division 1 soccer.....and what soprano52 said is completly correct. Divison 1 = American Football only ur not alowed to use your hands..... the majority of players that play on professional teams in europe would never even be considered in the MLS because they are either to small or not strong enough....i personally know players that didnt make it in the MLS or the A-League but now play professionaly in first division Germany and France....
Abiuso To Play Professional In Italy What are your thoughts on this?? Almost all Seria D teams are composed of players from Juventus, Milan.ect. They are composed of players from those teams that never made it to the first team.... He is going to play for Trento which is the capital of its region. Look at Fulham, they are going to be in 2nd division in England. Thats only 2 divisions higher then Serie D.
Re: Abiuso To Play Professional In Italy Old thread on this: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=656009&highlight=abiuso
Re: Abiuso To Play Professional In Italy Not quite. In Italy after Serie A there is Serie B, then C1, then C2, then D. So Serie D is actually the 5th division down. Starting with Serie C1, the lower leagues are regional. Trento plays in Group B of Serie D, where there are 10 groups total, and his group consists of mostly small town teams from the Lombardia and Trentino-Alto Adige regions. The Championship, where Fulham will likely be playing, is a league that is national -- not regional. The games have much better attendances, and the players are much better paid. Serie D, on the other hand, is non-professional. So overall, your comparison doesn't work so well.
no one of course. or they are lying to their friends and telling them they are in the first division when they aren't. In France: Andrew Jacobson-drafted by DC United, who wanted and expected to sign him In Germany: Steve Cherundolo Sal Zizzo Bryan Arguez Heath Pearce Kamani Hill Well Arguez was with DC United so that counts him out. All the others would have been given a shot in MLS based on their youth national team exploits alone. That's all the Americans in the French and German top flights, not counting youth players.
Re: Abiuso To Play Professional In Italy I guess that means you were holding them back Kan yu spel it? The play college football at Indiana? Really? No, you don't. This may be the worst sock puppet pair in the history of BigSoccer - Two usernames, but "Sporanos" related and they both use "...." instead of an ellipsis.
