You wanna have a word with those ballboys, there were two balls on the pitch near the end when Drenthe was taking a throw-in, disgraceful stuff.

(snide remarks aside, I still think Madrid will win the Liga)

I'm sure you can imagine how hilarious that was to a neutral spectator.

Im sorry but I cannot handle Guti as a Real Madrid player "for life."

No, this loss isnt because of Guti as at all. I just do not want his inconsistency haunting me for seasons to come lol.

You're right. You have rules as they are written (or aren't), but you also have a referee who can choose to use sense.

From the players' reactions, it didn't seem like the offside call was clear. Normally when there is a call that close to a goal you don't see the attacking have enough time to have seven players - including a central defender - make it to the corner to celebrate. I guess Raul or Van Nistelrooy who were standing next to Belenguer could have stepped in front of the ball or picked it up. But the whole play was very confusing. Credit to Getafe I guess.

Well he's also supposed to signal for a goal when a goal is scored, which i assume he didn't, and the Real players should probably have payed attention to that.

Also, the linesman doesn't have to signal it, the ref can call an offside even if the linesman doesn't do anything.

HAHA,but they are such a nice couple,Schuster has no Defenders to play in,we didn't need them.sending balboa out would mean we have Robben drenthe and balboa playing on 2 wings, diarra wouldn't have helped any so would have dudek...you can not blame him today
Usually agree i don't always like his changes but what is happening to us now is more down to the players, maybe motivation wise he isn't that good..but the game we lost we had chances to win but didn't use them.

    Now who's trolling?

BTW, the YOUNGSTARS87 guy or whoever who asked what the score would have been if Ruben and the Pirate were playing... as weird as it sounds, I don't think Getafe would have won if they had. The central midfielders today were Celestini and Casquero, who doubled up on our superb defensive campaign last season, and Mario Cotelo had the right balance of tough tackling and timewasting on the flank to see us through.

De La Red is a very versatile player, and Granero is just fantastically creative, but I don't think they have quite the same level of defensive intelligence just yet. (Both of them probably will when they're older.) Thus I think Madrid would have carved out more chances with those two on, and although we would have as well, RM are more apt to take theirs.

I don't mean to put down Granero or De La Red or say "who needs 'em?" in any way because they're both fantastic players, particularly Granero... but tonight we needed to go back to the kind of away performance of last season, and we did.

It's oddly fitting that it happened with Schuster on the bench... albeit for the home side :D

You're right because no player ever celebrates a goal until he looks at the referee to ensure that he has signalled the goal. Gosh, you are so smart. Thanks for your help.

    Ah, "the" mod is back.

Must be nice to enforce the law but still break it. :)

I get your point though, most refs would probably have informed Reals player that it wasn't a goal before starting play again, but strictly by the rules this ref probably didn't do anything wrong.

So it's hardly a big scandal.

We also need a couple of defenders who we can guarantee won't all be injured at the same time. Four, I repeat, FOUR defenders available today.

And all will be good again.

Lets hope it's all we can do.

    Chins up.

p.S I knew geting rid of Helgurea would be bad news. He may be old and his les gone he would really help out. Can we ge him back LOL

The team will have to show me some heart and desire before I place them in the 13 finals challenge.
