Unless he comes in and shows he's a 20 goal scorer, I imagine you are going to see all 3 forwards used a lot, much like last year. We have a lot of games.

Did Ching have a transplant? I think they should be 30 years old . . . like the rest of him . . . .

Would we want to have Lee Nguyen on the team? I'd say hell yeah. Lee and Franco are young and largely unproven so why not Franco.

I think it's called a "metaphor" or something.

I know he's only 29, but that doesn't stop him from looking like he's pushing 40. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and he is incredibly important to us, his legs are just not good. I don't know if it's the injuries or if he always looked tired, but that's how it is now.

(and that's fine. He's a target man and has the strength to take people on directly, so it doesn't hurt us really. He just needs to be paired with a fast striker that he can connect with)

Maybe it's the fact that he comes in at 195 pounds, and our other forwards average about 170.

Ching ate all the pies. (They must be protein pies because he is ripped.)

Re: Problem at Forward? Dynamo sign Argentine forward Franco Caraccio

I thought you retired from BS Anderson??? :D

Glad to have you still doing the homework for all of us.
It was mentioned in Bernardo's blog that He ( Franco) will have to compete with Holden and Ashe for a starting spot. Does anyone think this guy will transition in time for CCC??

Compete with Holden and Ashe? I thought Caraccio was a striker?

Wondo looked good last night I just hope that Caraccio steps up his game and allows Holden to stay in midfield.

So won't he have to go through the whole work permit thing? Anyone have any idea how long that takes for someone coming from Argentina? Hopefully it all gets sorted out before the matches in San Antonio, so he can start to get some playing time and experience with the team before the CCC and the start of MLS.

Yeah...it's the US State Department we're talking about.

I'm sure the paperwork will be done by August.

Another coup by Dom and Spencer.

"How do you know that TX Bill?" you ask...

    Proven. Track. Record.

...when it comes to trades, transfers, & signings.

(and after reading the 89 posts on this thread, you know what I learned? I learned that there's a Prize Desk somewhere waiting for me to claim my prize. Thanks for that Offebacher ;) )

Gustavo Rangel has a piece in today's edition of Rumbo that discusses the Caraccio signing. It also has a number of quotes from Dom and some of the players that indicate that they're confident about the upcoming season.

According to Lester Gretsch, the Dynamo Dir. of Communications, Caraccio will be presented on February 27.

He also says that Dom liked Caraccio's speed. The rest of the information in the article about Caraccio has already been mentioned in this thread.

    Ansonsten alles normal.

    Karneval in Houston.

In case anyone is thinking they are being humored, highlight below.

Lalo and Blanca are coming to the Mezz tonight in their PJ's to reserve a spot for Saturday evenings game.

OrangeTica is trying to tell us she has School sunday morning. She is not telling if that has to do with Click it or Ticket.

Other than that, all is normal.

    Carneval in Houston.
